Is it weird that I'm a fan of these two people, as people, without really knowing much of their music? I've seen them in several youtube interviews, and they both seem to be genuinely kind.
I dont think Its weird, I dont listen to Amber or Eric's music, but theyre both so real and loveable, so I still stan them both, because I know theyre talented

Yooo me too!! I don't really listen to music actively, like searching up artists that I hear on the radio. But I used to watch variety shows and talkshows a lot when I was younger 2012-2016 that time period, and I always saw Amber and Eric and I like them and I'm so proud of where they are in their career now even if I don't listen to their music.
I love the way Eric converses with people. He's polite . He's a good listener. In an interview he said he's a cold boring person . Well I think he's pretty sexy being someone who can listen to you attentively. I love that in him. A really grown up gentleman
This is his biggest charm, I think. There are A LOT OF fans swooning over him during WGM, because we can see his perfect manner to everyone. Which is a very rare find these days
The thing that always amazes me about amber is how her career In K-pop is an anomaly. By all means her gender expression combined with the fact she was foreign should have made her unemployable as an idol. On top of that she got signed to a huge label that isn't exactly known for being a beacon of social progression. In fact they're one of the labels that seems to play it really safe when it comes it experimental concepts. So on top of her being a none traditional female in an industry of pretty heavily enforced gender norms (at the time), she wasn't in a a supa crazy experimental group. She was in a very girly group and played around with both sides of her personality there. Its a really interesting journey to watch and I will never understand how it happened
SM really gambles it all on fx tbh. Thats the first and last time they EVER do anything experimental. Thats sort of why they dont really take care of Fx too sadly, they just don't bother to branch out anymore.
I love how #AmberLiu makes a lot of sense when she's talking. She's always careful and gentle with what she says yet she always conveys positive and truthful messages to us, her fans, and to other people. I feel like I'm trespassing and listening to two friends having a very meaningful conversation and I have to keep on reminding myself that it's only a podcast but they're so open about everything, it's so beautiful.
Its cool to hear amber having a broad perspective on things, but its also sad to think how much she has to go thru to get till this point. In the talks and podcasts shes featured she has been so open minded and honest and it really opens up alot of things for me hearing her experiences and hardships. In entertainment industry one is expected to be “flawless” but her humanising herself and others, and using her platform/influence to encourage others is really what made appreciate her.
Amber is so right at 11:27. I don't understand why people who experience hardship want everyone coming up behind them to experience it, too. Why would you not want to try to make it better if you can? The mentality of "If I had to suffer, so do you" seems very small-spirited to me.
I love what amber is saying she has such an amazing heart and I love that she can support other people because in the end they are all going through something or went through something and is nice to have someone that supports and can advice them by telling them her experience.
This was such a great podcast episode. You can feel the sincerity across the screen, it did feel like they were just catching up with each other’s lives. Cant believe Im almost turning 20 this year, I was huge fan of F(x) back in 2013 when I was fully discovering kpop and found out that i had KBS channel on tv, even performing rum pum pum pum in front of my teachers and classmates on teachers day. And now Amber is 29. LIKE whut. Also, Im glad and happy that Amber is slowly but surely finding her happy place, physically and mentally. I love this channel with all these discussions on the kpop industry, and we all need it especially when kpop is being more globally known.

Oh shit, I was just did a memory trip for fx last week. Then, I was like “could be another fx kind of a new girl group in the future?” And then I kinda replied to myself “there’s no one can do this sound other than these girls” Really miss them.
omg she got the potential to bring back f(x) one more time. Amber has quality to self-produce song and MV's, Luna already has her own company (this likely be Luna 38:17), Krystal and Victoria's still got the exposure from dramas, modelling and ads. Just wait for the time guys.
Emotions should always be valued. Just because someone is happy doesn't mean someone else should be sad. And the same with other feelings. To feel is not wrong and everyone does it. It's how we act after that can be wrong but to feel should never be wrong. I'm also happy to see how good Eric is to listen and just be respectful and stuff.

I'm just watching this after a year but hearing Amber makes me so happy, to know an artist like her so outspoken, open, and sentive is part of our generation (and Kpop pop). What Eric said about Amber and how she sees people I totally feel it even if I don't know her, I guess this is why I liked her from those compilations of her interacting with other idols, you can feel her vibes and she is awesome. I'm gonna listen and appreciate her music so much now that I know her work behind it too!

I love the deep conversations Amber and Eric have. Talking about mental health is so important. It's really inspiring to see Amber try to be a mentor to younger idols and friends. She's doing a lot of good just offering up a safe space to listen, it's so valuable and such a great trait to have as a friend. Some of the worst things people say to someone struggling with depression is. Get over it. There are people who have it worse than you. You have everything going for you. Probably because they were never depressed... Feeling sad about a situation or event for a certain period of time is normal. Depression goes beyond this.
them saying eric nam is boring or cold in reactions , i kinda get that wonderful mind , he says ''great or amazing'' he really values those kinds of words and use them with its own meaningful power and i love how mature he is and good listener , i just love this guy
Tbh i have went through sm awful things 2 years ago but i am good now. Went to a psychologist but it didn’t help because I realized i am always good on dealing with my shit myself because i have a positive and mature mindset. Yet i do believe therapy helps alot of people but it doesn’t help me because I always come up with good solutions for my problems myself. I personally never ask anyone for advice for that exact reason cuz my own solutions always seem to help although at one point i will ask for advice but still. To anyone going through a rough time reading this. Know that you’re loved and ur not alone and don’t be afraid to ask for help. Things will get better eventually but for now try your best to keep your head up, think positive because thats what saved me personally and keep doing you!

Recently I've discovered Amber's solo stuff. I was shocked how different it was from how she sounded in the group. I listen to her songs a lot lately.

Some of the worst things people say to someone struggling with depression is. Get over it. There are people who have it worse than you. You have everything going for you. Probably because they were never depressed... Feeling sad about a situation or event for a certain period of time is normal. Depression goes beyond this.

Tbh i have went through sm awful things 2 years ago but i am good now. Went to a psychologist but it didn’t help because I realized i am always good on dealing with my shit myself because i have a positive and mature mindset. Yet i do believe therapy helps alot of people but it doesn’t help me because I always come up with good solutions for my problems myself. I personally never ask anyone for advice for that exact reason cuz my own solutions always seem to help although at one point i will ask for advice but still. To anyone going through a rough time reading this. Know that you’re loved and ur not alone and don’t be afraid to ask for help. Things will get better eventually but for now try your best to keep your head up, think positive because thats what saved me personally and keep doing you!
