    I'd say.
    The first point is fair.
    the second not.
    Representantion... Well, the old sans did it pretty well, really well, the problem was it was BORING, you see. That battle was most autoaim attacks and the unique thing you need to do was bone zone and bone throw. Not a fair battle cause how little you had to do to get the win. This is from someone who farmed 16k xp with him pre rework.
    in change. New classic is more of a skill based fight with a lot of teamwork. Sans needs to pressure the team to spit up so they can't get him and the team needs to have their weapons flaws cover with the other. Things like pan removing the kr, killer or ballet shoes being the rushers, trident or snowrin being able to fight him from distance. All of that is needed to have a pretty fair fight against him. Cause sans moveset isn't to fight alone. Is to fight in team, you can fight im alone but the moveset will be seen as unfair cause how well designed it is to push the limit of your team is. For me even though it isn't the best representantion of canon sans it is the best fight of any sans you can get

      and tbh. The fair is pretty rewarding if your team hold is ground. Being able to pretty much counter all of sans possive attacks.
      and for sans part? obviously it needs to be seen as unfair for a 1 to 1 experience. Sans has all of that bs of unavoidable dmg for how it designed, you won't have any issues if you have the right team. But you will if your team isn't as good. And there's where sans unfairnese shows up, when you aren't playing as how it was intended

      The game nowadays is more on a teamwork game. You can tell by how the new sans and reworks are done. With a approach of teamwork over the old vs skilled player who all of his team died and they can just oof the sans cause of that

      And even still. I can tell the dialogues issue but what gives? is a dialogue. Ulc wasn't trying to get a story with 3dbb, LITERALLY WE HAD LTF. and you readed the information given by ian? possesion is controlled by flowey and is in constant pain cause of that.
      this sans wasn't made to be serious and because of that is why it shines. A serious fight with this moveset wouldn't be effective cause it is for a joke.

      @@Papertoolsarenice sans is based in teamwork and cause of bad teammates you see more of the issues. So sans is balanced when you've the right team

    The worst part about classic is that he's so unoptimized and very buggy
    Like half the time the music just breaks
    I loved pre rework sans, it actually felt really good to use with all the moves that costed low stamina

    Here are my dialogue replacements for when you get hit.
    0% - attack me all you want. It'll last forever
    20% - wanna have a bad time?
    40% - if we were friends then you'd never come back.
    60% - here goes nothing..
    80% - you really don't want us free. Heh I'm just here to judge.
    100% - we are gonna do this the HARD way huh?.
    130% - waking up every moment just for it to reset.
    160% - heh justify yourself all you want, it changes nothing.
    180% - I thought giving you a happy life would've been enough. But nope.
    200% - you really don't take a break.
    Retribution dialogue - heh. Sorry old lady, this is why I never do promises.
    Kill teammate dialogue -
    (1 teammate killed) - you really don't care about your own allies huh?
    (2 teammates killed) - I'm not surprised, you suck at even helping your own friends..
    Sans killed dialogue (if they'll add a death cutscene in the future) - just don't say.. I didn't warn ya..
    That's all the dialogues they could add.

    They should give Classic Sans a shotgun because it would make him way riskier to attack and therefore more difficult to rush.

    What I think and believe in is that, Classic Sans, instead of being a joke character entirely, should have a skin (Or now since styles exist, a style since it is a minor change) that has the meme stupid dialogue. They should then create NORMAL dialogue, not ripped from undertale, but unique to ulc, yet still sticking to the roots of Sans, and make that the BASE Sans. And as for the pre-rework Classic Sans skin idea, he should 100% be a skin. For the bone jumps and bone sliders, I think they were somewhat boring, but ulc could always rework them, just not sure how.
    I then proceeded to write around a paragraph of ideas that I knew nobody was going to read so I deleted them.

      The bone sliders are not the problem its the boxed attacks so they need to rework the boxed attacka

    4:24 Funni Theory, but I feel like it works both ways.
    - The weaker/primitive aus are overpowered/lured into a trap, and end up in the ULC game. (Like Swap or Bonewalker)
    - Stronger/High IQ characters are left alone, and are instead either recommended to join ULC, or are required to fill in an application.

      Special SOUL moves only HE has, being able to talk in the Game Over screen, have durability the OG Sans could never dream of, etc.

    honestly i would say that both versions are peak in their own ways
    prework being more faithful to the original and that being pretty cool
    and current kinda being if the ulc devs made their own sans fight

    Good to know, i'm not the only one who loved pre rework sans.
    It had everything a sans character in a svc should have,
    Actually avoidable attacks, sans stays sans ( not going to kill charas in melee cause its funny ), box attacks ( apart from the last one, i was kinda buggy ) and an actual progression.
    The sans now is just learn one combo and gg you win !

    i agree with everything besides you box attacks take. Box attacks are mid, they rely on fps so if you set your fps high you die instantly, if you are on mobile you cant dodge the attacks and die aswell

      Yeah, players shouldn’t be punished for something as arbitrary as having high fps they really need to either fix or remove box attacks entirely I remember a few updates ago they weren’t superspeed and my fps was the same, they definitely broke em with one of the recent updates

    As a classic main,in my opinion,though i like the rework with its creativity,i would definitely prefer pre rework, as it represented the fight of sans way better,even if it was less exciting or slower,i enjoyed pre rework,and honestly,i enjoyed the rework just as much too.

    on pre-rework, losing didn't feel like my fault due to me always dying to the box attacks that had janky hitboxes.
    i'm also a mobile player, so that might explain why i died to them

    Remember the creator sans thing? I heard it's becoming more than a thing for classic sans only.
    It becoming for more so yeah.
    I think all ULC can do for classic is make a mastery skin that turns him into his canon self with undertale attack (and add what the Definitive and make the battle box a mode where you select different types of attacks, like bone sliders, bone zones, bone jumps. Along with randomized blasters. Idk.)

    well, the pre rework was really like og undertale, but that means a lot of map attacks. i liked the box attack but i prefer the new final attack, and new sans gives more the vibe of fast paced game, i think they should add more serious dialogues too, and nerf a little the phase 2, because without it sans sucks, and with it sans is extremely overpowered if you know how to play... nowdays i dont find a lot of bugs when i play him like when he was released, so i think its fine. the new attacks are really creative and fun, even if they dont go along with canon sans

    Honestly I think there's issues with every version of Sans this game has had, the current one as you said just doesn't feel like Sans, that moveset should've been used on an AU or smth else because dude legit dodges a swing 22 times before he actually passes out from getting too tired you can't convince me he's fit to be teleporting around and throwing people around like ragdolls, that's like telling me the guy who can't even do a pull up is the best arm wrestler in the world and can lift me with one arm. But thing is the version before this, even if it was more accurate, felt too boring to play, feeling more similar to DustBelief and 3DBB except I can actually lose because it felt as if it was Auto Piloting. Then the one before felt like you're banging your head against a wall. Honestly though the dialogue being jokes in my opinion isn't that bad, once you fight Classic for the 50th time it kinda just blends together and becomes background noise

      @@inspector_bonk he's not throwing people around? The "dash" is legit him using telekinesis to throw you and put you in the blue soul mode,same for Dunk and Dunk aerial,the point of classic was to take the classic of an animation and put it in game lol.

    The only complaint I have on him is that he is REWARDED FOR BEING ATTACKED. Sans gets a lot of Stress when he dodges an attack, to the point that he can sometimes go to phase 2 without even needing to use an attack! This is absurd! Why should the chara's be punished for attacking?!
    And I swear if I ever see another comment saying that he takes a LOT of skill. He doesn't! He took me 2 or 3 rounds to get used to before I was practically unstoppable with him! Fell takes more skill to use, HardTale take more skill to use, NOT CLASSIC SANS

      they should lower the stress gain on dodgin, so getting to phase 2 actually become a challenge

      Do people not realize that it is way harder to beat people with only phase two especially if they are using something like DT. Phase two is good but I find my self using it to pick off the low hp that I got them to in phase one.

      @@dog6902 Tbh if you struggle to kill people in phase 2, it means you doesn't use your attacks right. Bone throw is OP and is garuanteed damage, using blaster makes it so blaster spawns around players for a long time, you have a counter and you have Time Dilation which is just even more OP

      @@Supra--ln4tm I never said phase two was bad I said it’s harder to kill a full chara team with just that especially if they’re using DT with only phase two. (Yes the bone throw is op but you can counter it with anything that can get you in the air or gives I-frames still they should nerf it a little)

    Classic Sans feels like they wanted to make a more unique character when it comes to fighting (like hardtale and horror), which just leaves me mixed, because some of the attacks feel out of your control (from chara side).

      One of the examples I could list is how the blaster spinner’s blaster placement depends on the players, so this causes issues when there are 2+ players at the end

    I personally find bone jumps useless and the sliders more annoying than anything, so I’m ok with not every move being 1 to 1 with undertale’s official move set.
    I like his unique bone rush and his more speedy attacks, just wish that the floor attacks didn’t have the model stay around for so long.

    About the buggy part the only that could rival was terrible story db during bone era (I swear every match had like at least 3-4 bugs at the same time 😭)

    i loved both pre-rework and current sans.. i liked pre-rework because he was one of the most fun to use and the music was a banger. now that it is reworked imo it is 100% better! its a fighting game not a story/ 100% recreation game all i care about is fun attacks and cool songs with intense fights. i love current sans since its one of the most fun to play against and use! i dont care if its not realistic or anything. its a roblox fighting sans vs chara game for gods sake lol. it doesnt need to be accurate!

    as a 20k classic sans user who is one of my mains. I kinda have to disagree.
    1. The bugginess for me is usually a bug 1 in every 20 rounds or so, but i still get your point on this, i still think the bugginess is a bit overexaggerated.
    2. He was represented well from the games, i could ramble on why, but the top comment is there for that.
    3. Pre-Rework was really cool and all, got to 14k with him, but his one flaw which made him boring is how almost every attack was either auto aim or map wide. in phase 2 the only attacks u can aim yourself are bone throw and somewhat blasters. Making it feel like the game is playing for you. meanwhile to new classic is combo heavy and requires a lot more aim and thought.
    And about the death battle I think eggman was represented good. He had many peaks to be on bowsers level but it is even said the fact his ignorance to his army and not caring about them leads to a loss of communication among the army compared to bowser's who works together for the most part.
    I still respect ur opinion tho.

    I don't think he's got bad representation. The devs took Sans' fight and made it work in their format. Bone Jumps and Bone Sliders are fundamentally boring moves. But he's still got the dodges and the attack patterns. He only uses bones and swaps to blasters later in the fight.
    All in all, Classic is a very fun character for me. The one change I'd make to him would probably be a small reduction to his KR + Bugfixes.

    I really like playing Classic Sans, but it feels like fights boil down to.
    1: The Chara team doesn't know what they're doing and you stomp them
    2: OH GOD, WHY IS MY STAMINA ALREADY LOW, I AM NOT EVEN AT 70% STRESS!
    Very rarely is a fight close for me.
    I also do like some of his new stuff, but do think his dialogue is a little distracting and cringy. If I could choose, I think I'd like a more middle ground. Keep the stress meter, make the first part of the fight more faithful to classic sans. Make the second part/phase a little more fanon. Then, finally, I know people had issues with the box attacks, but I really think maybe they could be properly implemented, just don't use the soul screen, make it in person dodges you know?
    I would also LOVE if they had you choose a style for him, like they have now, where you have one where his canon dialogue plays out (maybe with some modifications to show he's talking to multiple people), and then a fanon one that's all joking and stuff, so people could have both characterizations.
    (Though, being honest, "Classic Sans" doesn't FEEL like an actual character, he feels like a walking punchline to me)
    Anyway yeah, rant over.

    PREWORK CLASSIC FANS RISE UP RAAAAGH
    Imo, all they needed to do if they wanted to "balance" him was to remove his box attacks and replace his final attack with the current one, boom. Yet they chose to make UFS Sans (though, somewhat better) but with worse dialogue than UFS Sans (who ripped most of the dialogues from the geno fight unlike ULC.)

    This is my problem with "skilled" in this case being hardtale and classic I LOVE horror and mainly because they are just an unavoidable attack stun fest which only cares about being fun to play and not to fight

    I have 18K EXP on Classic, and 14K came from Empty Promises, the ACTUALLY good Classic MOVESET.
    It required skill to use, and skill to combat.
    It had good representation, music, map, models, references, and finally..
    It FELT like Sans.
    Listen, I get Hardtale being jokey.
    Why Classic? You might as well just rename him “Mr. Gacha Fanon Frans Soriel Epic Dustdustdust SwapFellTrustBelief”! Just revert his moveset, model, and map.

    instead of reworking him just improve his attacks and model i mean he was pretty lame , box attack was laggy as hell if u dont have a little boy rich computer and his others attacks made him borng like last breath phase 1 he has only auto attacks and the others are just to make you feel that youre doing something besides that it was pretty cannon i like it more how is now but yeah

    Classic sans is also unbelievably laggy on Xbox one I literally can't even play as him or go against him properly since my Xbox has a seizure when I do.

    3:13 aside from eggman not showing his intellect that much i disagree that he was not represented well.but even then he tricks bowser by sending in a decoy and he fights in his mech until fury bowser came and overpower his egg robot causing him to have to get protected and carried by metal and sage.he still fired off the death egg tho.he was not really cowardly but moreso overpower to the point where he had to elave it up to metal or he was cooked and based off some things they said it seem like they use the fact that egg does not have all his mechs all the time as a weakness and that mabe why they did not include the egg wizard.

      @@calebdemosthene284 I lean on the death egg as being a sage thing slightly more than an eggman thing which is why I said he was carried by both metal & sage as opposed to just metal.
      My issue is that he’s perfectly capable of fighting back and doesn’t, he has lightman, which according to DB wouldn’t do much but I don’t agree considering how the completed phantom ruby is nearly unrivaled in its reality warping (similar to like, the dream stone from dream team.)
      It was likely for budget reasons but according to the animator the episode had everything they wanted (and nothing that was storyboarded was cut out except the koopalings) but it was still something unfortunate I noticed
      Still really enjoyed the episode though.

      @@Papertoolsarenice Well to be fair, although not knowing much myself personally, apparently the animator (Moro), had different endings animated, showing all the different things. You can even see small clips of those when they're doing the after-battle discussion. Apparently, those parts are something that's part of what you get for supporting death battle (since they are now indie, they have to have something to draw in money or supporters after the Kickstarter after all. Kickstart funds aren't unlimited).

      @@calebdemosthene284 The one infinite uses is a weaker version in comparison to the one eggman has. In lightman he can do some cool things like brainwashing & he’s able to throw hands with super sonic. From what I’ve heard.

    I have 30k sans exp, so I feel I have some valid opinions on this guy. so, bugs aside, phase 1 is just better to play, the combos you can do with dunk and its aerial variant far outweigh the joy I get from spamming moves and running with phase 2, especially with gaster blasters and time dilation, which disabled 80% of your move set. granted there still is tech to be found, such as calcium cascade + marrow strike. but overall. phase 1 is just. better to play. with combos like aerial dunk + bone zone + bone wave. the gameplay feels more interactive than just spamming in phase 2. Now, my own opinions aside on him, time for yours and how I feel on them. (I'm not counting bugs cause they don't always happen) I agree with the unavoidable damage, but most of the time, the damage is so low that if the team effectively rushes the sans together, the damage taken will not outweigh the damage the team deals to sans. but yeah, I think that has something to do with lag. however, I feel the aimable blaster and bone throw are good. they are still very much dodgeable, along with being to m1 them to cancel the move/ gain Iframes. He basically requires speed moves, as he is a full ~4 speed slower than Chara team. however, I do agree with the bad representation. as I feel the moves included are too far off from what sans would actually fight like. I feel like UFS nailed sans' attack representation. but sacrificed being fun to play. I wasn't a huge fan pf pre-rework Sans. as he felt too sluggish for me, like phase 2, but even slower. but I agree, he was much better represented. I'm a little disappointed you didn't talk about the gameplay more, and how he feels to play, but overall. good job on the video. Will this make me stop being a Sans main? No. did I just waste 30 mins of my life writing a stupid sans review nobody will read? hell yeah. If you read all this, thanks for listening to the yap session.

      I do agree with this I've only pushed 10k on classic, but phase 1 is really fun to play combo setups, and all phase 2 does have some good combos, too, but phase 2 stars to fall off with aimless and unfun with most of your moves being in one a good chunk of the fight is waiting for people to die.

    You know, as someone who didn't play old Sans I think a lot of your points are valid. I agree the dialogue is dumb. I dont like it. I feel it doesnt work well with any Sanses except ones with dedicated transitions (Disbelief, Underswap paps) and just feels silly and breaks my flow. For the rest of it... Yeah it doesn't feel very cannon sans... But in a way that feels like a... good thing kind of? I think old sans should be a skin dont get me wrong, but there's a sense of epicness to fighting LIKE youre in one of those old animations.
    TLDR: I agree with you that this is a bad representation of canon sans, however he is fun, if a bit cheesy. I think he's a step in the right direction for a lot more sanses though

    Snowring + bravery denies classic all phases and kills him in a few seconds. I am not even kidding, play it right and he dies in a few seconds.

    I believe I outlined this with HardTale before but simply giving something a truck load of meta jokes in the form of text then calling it your own AU is a horrible way to represent it, now to talk about gameplay, feels like the devs want everything to be viable at every level, while this is fair this mass of constant unavoidable damage which costs 350 xp and 15 wins to max out last I checked is absurd for a low wins character, a character which no matter how skilfully you play against you entirely rely on your team which by the way 1 or 2 of them have fallen out the map due to how buggy this fight is (and it still got into the game)

    ULC changed its story because it wasn't fit.
    And I think empty promises had more better stories compared to the current one and literally, the event wasn't just you taking them from their own homes but a mastermind was taking them from their home..
    Yet it wasn't hyperdust because when he came the lore changed completely.

    Tbh I don't like classic either but its only sins of the past rework. The empty promises classic was one of my fav characters to play but they removed Xmas sans so that you couldn't use that version. They made a old stick which no one cared about but they took away one of the coolest designed (my opinion) characters

    I agree with most of the issues that you have with classic. He's definitely buggy and overly comedic, but that aside i still like him 10x more then the pre rework version. The old one was more faithful to undertale itself, but translated into a svc, a whole lot of map and auto aim attacks weren't very fun to use. The box attacks were fps based and often times unavoidable too, while doing a shit ton of damage.

      According to someone else I talked to, it was just lag.
      That seems to line up, despite the fact that I have decent wifi & a good PC.
      But I don’t get most of that stuff with characters
      (though yeah I get bugged into losing/winning decently often it is not nearly as much as with classic sans. Even like, combined.)

    U’know, I used to be like you and agree with you, then I started playing him a lot so much he became my new main, he is a really fun character to play as you just have to understand his move sets the more you play. I do agree he is slightly buggy (for new players) but I have never had any bugs with him

    Classic Sans is my favorite character out of the AU’s. It really does make me sad seeing him in a fanon way IN ULC. Like Stress? Yes, he sweats but by his Undertale game lines he isn’t really stressing out. The gameplay FEELS unfinished, and so pre-rework is so much better. And you’re going to complain about the box attacks? I dont know, get better, I’d rather do box attacks than fight against RETRIBUTION. Also, pre-rework had MEGALOVANIA: Karma, a good song representing Classic.

      1. This is a fan interpretation of Classic/Bad Time Sans. We obviously know this because canon Sans would never use these moves. Undertale is a part of the Au’s. Why would he be in the game, or in Underverse (which is very good, please watch it) for that matter?
      2. Stress? Why include that when phases exist??? Phase 1, is start of the fight. While Phase 2 is when he tries to spare but you don’t listen. Final attack or not, phases are WAY easier to transition with and doesn’t feel like you need to play your absolute best to even obtain it.
      3. We all know retribution is a buggy mess, from the camera being jank, to the bones hitboxes being weird and the gasterblaster section… don’t get me started on that.
      4. If I was coping then the author of this video would be too, but isn’t the case, all we’re doing is stating our opinions, and how to better, or change the character to suit the game and its mechanics. But canon Sans is why better than fanon, and no one can tell me otherwise.

    In my opinion, what you say is pretty valid!
    But..
    1st Point: Like everyone else says, completely fair. (Seriously devs get rid of force rush on GO-)
    2nd; Your statement here doesn’t really help your argument. Like, yeah I guess YOU think he’s unfunny, but from the Reddit post you showed it’s clear that a lot of the community likes it. That’s more of an opinion thing, not really fact like the rest of the video. It’s not a valid reason for “Sans to be the worst character”, and things like that I’d recommend keeping out of an argument.
    (and for another less important piece of defense, it’s just a Roblox game. nobody’s boutta take this seriously 😭) I do feel your pain that atleast SOME dialogue should be serious, but still not a really valid argument.
    3rd; The reason people hated old classic is cause he was just.. boring to play. Like stated in the top comment, he had to actually move his mouse for TWO MOVES. (And I’m guessing the reason you had fun playing it is cause you main the Depressed Sans) (and no shade for that.)
    Meanwhile his new way of fighting, (although could be unbugged), is still great! It makes the most of ULC not being 2D, and makes some pretty creative moves. And now, you actually have to..
    🐁move your mouse
    So I think thats all of the rant I need. Take the time to read and make a counter argument if you want, but great video! Liked the ideas you put.

    Now what said about the frist argue is true about his attack is buge and is the only character have bug fix to him
    the second argument you half bone right his attack is refusing other animation or drawing like his three move in phase 2 is a reference sans use at chara in glitchtale ep 4 the atrack yes is true is not reference the fight sans attack but is fun to use and creative (before thoses Nerf's) but the final attack is bad not the way is terrible but the dev have many opportunities make the attack cooler, that the old one is better ,is not only in his final attack but in phase 2 too like he can do the random attack like fell sans the difference is use no stamina like in the original fight or in the blackout of sans he can appear random blaster gaster etc
    NOW about the bobble speech is bad ok the dev wanna be funny but they are not ,the *dodge* is only one i find it fun he refensing roblox rp the other wanna make sans stupid or dum rather be funny,
    the model i love it the music well too for me is my favorite
