Rafting the Forks of the Kern ~ 2000 CFS ~ The Best Class V Rafting Trip in the United States

This was an absolutely unbelievable trip. 2 days in the Golden Trout Wilderness with some of the coolest people on the face of the Earth.
We ran some of the biggest and coolest rapids we have ever seen, amidst one of the most unique and beautiful landscapes North America has to offer.
The Forks of the Kern begins where the North Fork of the Kern and the Little Kern meet, high in the Sierra's near Mount Whitney. It flows just over 18 miles through a rugged canyon with amazing vegetation, plenty of eagles, and some of the best rafting on the planet. The run's character is very creeky, but also big water. The rapids are large, fast, and extremely technical, requiring expert boat maneuvering and quick decision making. Truly one of California's gems.
We had so much fun out there, and we can't wait to do it again in a few weeks. Thanks to Raffi and Ducky who fed us excellent beta and led the charge, and thanks to Izzy, Ray, and Blake for rallying with us for our first Forks adventure. You guys are all awesome and we can't wait to do it again. Last but not least, shout out to Jakob for running our shuttle. You’re the man and you’re coming on the next one 🤘
