It’s way more for physique than anything. One aspects of the stunts you’re not considering though is the force you’ve gotta use to not only swing something around but then stop it right at the point of contact such that it still LOOKS like you hit something but the blow is a lot less.
As a very socially awkward person acting seems like a complete nightmare because you have to do scenes that are extremely awkward but look great on film and that’s terrifying to me

And I'm all for an escapist action movie once in a while, but when they have it down to a formula and science like they do, year after year and blockbuster after blockbuster, these franchises come off as soulless, opportunistic, corporate and cynical. Still, cinema is cinema. It's not Scorsese's job to tell the public what should count as a movie and what shouldn't. Spielberg campaigned against Netflix movies being considered and or nominated for Oscars because they're on a streaming platform. Movie directors can choose what they prefer in their artistic directions that fit them the best. But if they run their mouths telling people what they should be looking for in films, they're gonna find themselves pissing off audiences, who are, in a relative sense getting more pissed off at Hollywood when the elitists are telling them what they should like or what they should do with their lives. It's the reason everyone ignores their circlejerk award shows now. Going after Marvel was just a poor move in general. Marvel has the largest and most loyal fan/audience following In media. Bringing fans young and old together for some well plotted action. How did Scorsese not think he'd receive backlash?
I most likely would have never wanted to see Missing Link. But now that is seen just how much work and incredible talent went into making it. I jumped straight to really wanting to see this movie now. Incredible
