man, the polished/blue manifold will look absolutely insane, you`ll need a lot of patience and I wish you this thing turn out as unique and cool as you want it to
I love when the vibe of the vlog feels like Devin is saying peace out boys see you tomorrow , but then you get full more 12 min of video .. Dev you are great man 👌 12:40
The black cylinder is an accumulator there’s a bladder inside that separates the nitrogen from the fluid in the ayc pump, what it does is help the pump with the flow of fluid, supplies extra power to the pump in case of a leak. But mostly it’s to help regulate the system pressure wise
Look into swain coating. There are a few different options of swain coat but you can coat it with a polished finish and it also traps heat which will help keeping the bay cool.
The starter doesn't require a fuse because the starter motor needs a whole lot of current to turn the flywheel with that little pinion gear. The starter solenoid eliminates any continous contact between the starter motor and the battery. The solenoid contains a magnet that activates the solenoid upon turning the ignition switch. Not only does the solenoid complete the circuit to the starter motor, but it also extends the pinion gear using a fork, similar to a clutch fork in a transmission, to extend the pinion gear when the magnetic solenoid activates and spins the motor. If you want to know how big of a fuse you would need to protect your starter, just estimate it to be about 20amps higher that your battery's max cranking amps rating and that's a fuse that would not fit under the hood. Sorry for the long comment! Just saw an opportunity to share my knowledge Edit: the fuse would fit I guess, but it would be absolutely huge and very unnecessary unless you're worried the car will be randomly struck by lighting or a falling electric power line lolz
You've spent so much time making that bay perfect. You have to polish the manifold and let it blue. Maybe once it gets to a certain level of blue that you like, use some clear cerakote on it to lock in the look and keep the road grime and stuff off of the raw finish.
Definitely polish that exhaust manifold!! Once the heat sets in the bluing will look 🔥🔥🔥 with all the blue titanium hardware!!! Love your videos, Keep up the grind, it's appreciated 💯👊🏻🤘🏻
Your starter can pull a lot more than 120 amps. Don't fuse it. When you have two different types of metals touching I.E. steel screws in aluminum, it causes electrolysis which is corrosion. They get stuck. Use some anti-seize (I like the copper based) on the screws and never have a problem removing them again.
You don't need fuse because the signal wire to the starter is fused already so no point of running 2 fuses. Also on cold starts the starter sometimes draw very high amperage , as high as 200amps so there is a much higher chance of blowing a fuse.
I wouldn't go black on the exhaust manifold but if i did go with that route i would look at cero coats heat trapping coating to use on it since its rated at 1400 degrees and it traps most of the heat in the manifold and helps the turbo spin up even more.
Fuses are to protect the wiring and or the circuit the wire feeds. Most wires are fused in a vehicle because they run along grounded items or other live wires. Should the starter wire get in contact with a grounded item such as the engine block in most cases it will trip the main/master fuse. You can fuse the starter wire if you want but it’s really not needed. Some people put a breaker in line that can be disabled remotely as a starter interrupt for extra theft protection.
I think you wouldn't fuse a starter is because it's on for a short time and not constant power. The ignition cuts the power when it's out of the start position and there may even be a fuse for the ignition?
How are you guys, brother im just stucked at the phone,to see all process of rebuilt Evo 8...its amazing man.. Thank you To do those vídeos Brother. Big hugs for you all! I just love this channel!!! 🙏🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻🖤🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I know that cables may seem to look bad and or bring down the view of the car but maybe looking at it from geometric art form, would help with the wiring issues.
Route the fuel pressure reg vacuum line off the FPR back under it to run alongside the fuel line to the rail then across to the vac nipple on the manifold. Will get red of it looking solo out there.
You and your brother are awesome ! I like watching him build dirtbikes also ! I honestly think i wouldn't trust anybody lol else with an engine rebuild because I ve seen your work and you have ALL the tools and everything is done just like it's supposed to Subaru or Mitsubishi should be paying you 200 grande a year bro !!!!!
I would for sure ceramic coat it. Id focus on the heat rather than how nice it is. Ceramic coat it black, and then do a high satin silver on the turbo.
Awesome build man, I love the amount of details and efforts you put in it. Polished/blue manifold would look ten times better, but it will come at a cost. Black would still look good imho but it will lack of "depth". Cheers from France !
This EVO is looking amazing Devin! As far as the manifold goes, I vote for the polished look. I believe it would look the best. Besides, you have really put in the time thus far. FULL SEND BRO! Hahaha!
You don't need to fuse the starter. Its perfectly normal for power from battery to go straight to starter without fuse. It sees very large spikes in voltage when cranking so a fuse my cause more headaches.
Definitely polish the manifold, gotta make her pop and shine when you open the hood she's nearly the only bare metal surface in the engine bay show it off
Polish the manifold Devin ! Also, you should lowkey paint the red cover of the fuse link thing black of that yellow.. by the way, you're the GOAT at rebuilding EVOs !!
Just getting excited and excited about this build...hoping you have a titanium maniforld or maybe polish it, but dang this look so good at everyside. Color os to nice and match. Keep it up Man... I'm late because the upload time is the time for my rest. But everytime i open my youtube app this is the first channel i visit💪
Are you going to change the red fuse cover yellow, black or silver?? It sounds like a lot of work but polished and the blue manifold would look amazing
Polish the manifold. I know it’s a lot of work but it would make a sick video and I would love to watch that. Great build man and I appreciate all the content and videos. Always sick to watch and see what your up too.
I know u dont want todo the work but im sure if u polish and work through it for a couple days on the exhaust manifold it would pay off nice in the end💯
You 100% spot on, Highly Polished exhausted manifold ftw 😉. Thou protests to much, Yeeaah it was the strut that gave you a black eye 🤥 #don't mess with the Bobbi Wallace 🤣
Don't polish the manifold, it will blue yes but short lived results and be back to exactly how it looks now, Cerakote it titanium or bronze, with all that work into it its only right to coat the manifold properly, plus it helps spool and keep under hood temps lower being ceramic coated.
Polish the manifold and do an episode of how to polish a manifold the right way. Stoked to see this running and smoking the streets
plus itd look sick w the hardware
A polish slash blue manifold bro.😍🔥
Polish that bad boy! Can’t say it’s to much work after all you’ve done. Great work.
Polish the manifold doing black woudnlt stand out n look kinda doll
Polish the exhaust manifold!!!
man, the polished/blue manifold will look absolutely insane, you`ll need a lot of patience and I wish you this thing turn out as unique and cool as you want it to
Who ever gets to own this after you is one lucky bugger. I love how your doing all the extra work to make it so much more appealing to look at
I love when the vibe of the vlog feels like Devin is saying peace out boys see you tomorrow , but then you get full more 12 min of video ..
Dev you are great man 👌
12:40
first
Edit: I think you should polish manifold. I think it would make the entire engine bay look sick!
i honestly kind of like the exhaust manifold the way it is
Definitely polished because once it blues it will go well with the dress up hardware you installed
we need a stinkeye build in the future!!!
Has to be a hatch
@@Tony-tk4ht Has to be a GC

Polished! as everything else is looking spot on 😎
Oohhh man can’t wait for this build to be done, the finished product is going to be better than show quality

Polished manifold will look sick!!! Titanium look will pop out when you pen the hood.
Hey Devin what's up bro, hope all is well,I think you should polish it,it will be the finished touch to the project, and remember, hard work pays off🙂
Definitely polish that exhaust manifold!! Once the heat sets in the bluing will look 🔥🔥🔥 with all the blue titanium hardware!!!
Love your videos, Keep up the grind, it's appreciated 💯👊🏻🤘🏻
Wow Devin that engine bay is REALLY starting to come together. LOOKS 👌🏻.
Truly enjoy your process to this madness . My favorite car RUclips channel at the moment . Keep it up
Make it stand out bro that’s what this car is built for 🔥🔥🔥🙌 go blue

I agree Polish the manifold. The burnt titanium look would LOOK SICK🤔😎👌🏻.
i think that the polished manifold with all the blue bolts in there will be a better option. And remember that hard work pays off Devin! Keep it up
Opening shots of the FRS at the gas station looked SO good. Keep up great work man!
You don't need fuse because the signal wire to the starter is fused already so no point of running 2 fuses. Also on cold starts the starter sometimes draw very high amperage , as high as 200amps so there is a much higher chance of blowing a fuse.

You going to wrap the fuseable link in black so you don't have the red stick out?
Polish the exhaust manifold, it’ll look so good for photos and the hard work will pay off. Even if it doesn’t stay like that you can always change it.

Make a t-shirt with a pic of the engine bay when it's completed and put "My new bay" on the shirt.
BAE would be more attractive and humorous haha
Polish the manifold
When the manifold gets the blue burnt finished too it. It's gonna flow nice with the blue aluminum bolts💪💯
Polished manifold. Worth the work
The manifold polished Brother, I think it's gonna geave a very beauty result!!
Starters lock up from time to time, Im pretty sure thats why there is no fuse. Build is coming along real nice!!
I think you wouldn't fuse a starter is because it's on for a short time and not constant power. The ignition cuts the power when it's out of the start position and there may even be a fuse for the ignition?
I really appreciate the little zoom when you drove on the grass with the truck, surely that means something....can just imagine LOL

Polished and heat treated blue 💙👌🏼
Route the fuel pressure reg vacuum line off the FPR back under it to run alongside the fuel line to the rail then across to the vac nipple on the manifold. Will get red of it looking solo out there.
Black sounds cool but so does the blue , I cant decide cause the blue is gonna take more work. You choose!
that gold finish on the manifold is amazing
You and your brother are awesome ! I like watching him build dirtbikes also ! I honestly think i wouldn't trust anybody lol else with an engine rebuild because I ve seen your work and you have ALL the tools and everything is done just like it's supposed to Subaru or Mitsubishi should be paying you 200 grande a year bro !!!!!
Wrap it with thermal exhaust wrap, will look cool and as you said, it has "to take your eye" will be the only thing looking different
Polished manifold for sure would look so good with all the other blue accents
Polished exhaust broo!! Make it shine like the sun !!
Polish it! It will be worth the work in the end. You have spent the time on everything else.
I would for sure ceramic coat it. Id focus on the heat rather than how nice it is. Ceramic coat it black, and then do a high satin silver on the turbo.
I never liked an evo until this build. Great work
Awesome build man, I love the amount of details and efforts you put in it. Polished/blue manifold would look ten times better, but it will come at a cost. Black would still look good imho but it will lack of "depth".
Cheers from France !
With all the hard nice work you've done! All the detail, its a no brainer bro! POLISHED💯!
There is Enough Going On, in the Bay ..... So, Polished to Impress .
Just watched the last 5 videos in a row. Your content is amazing.
Polish it man, it would look insane! Well worth it after all that you've done in this build!
This EVO is looking amazing Devin! As far as the manifold goes, I vote for the polished look. I believe it would look the best. Besides, you have really put in the time thus far. FULL SEND BRO! Hahaha!
Love it. You have the Invincible colour scheme going on.
You don't need to fuse the starter. Its perfectly normal for power from battery to go straight to starter without fuse. It sees very large spikes in voltage when cranking so a fuse my cause more headaches.
You need a Frontline Fab dipstick handle! Looks like they have some in stock too.
Devin is the fyeahspec to the evo world
Definitely polish the manifold, gotta make her pop and shine when you open the hood she's nearly the only bare metal surface in the engine bay show it off
Blue burnt blue look , stm has intercooler piping and the manifold to match
Polish the manifold Devin ! Also, you should lowkey paint the red cover of the fuse link thing black of that yellow.. by the way, you're the GOAT at rebuilding EVOs !!
*or
Just getting excited and excited about this build...hoping you have a titanium maniforld or maybe polish it, but dang this look so good at everyside. Color os to nice and match. Keep it up Man...
I'm late because the upload time is the time for my rest. But everytime i open my youtube app this is the first channel i visit💪
Blue bud wood look amazing
Black manifold with yellow tubo housing or polished with black turbo housing
Are you going to change the red fuse cover yellow, black or silver??
It sounds like a lot of work but polished and the blue manifold would look amazing
polished blued manifold. u can take have you sweet time doing it. u dont have a deadline to catch up with
The anodized look would look rad. Would finish off the bay well
Polish the manifold. I know it’s a lot of work but it would make a sick video and I would love to watch that. Great build man and I appreciate all the content and videos. Always sick to watch and see what your up too.
if you have the headers bare it might help distribute heat
Polish the manifold.......Straight Fuego!!!
Polished manifold, trust me... a lot of work needed but the end result is worth it!! totaly :D
Polishing will do justice for the engine bay!!!!!
we all know already you polishing that manifold bro. we just waiting for the next how to video
I mean the manifold looks pretty good right now, it looks like it has a gold look to it.
Don’t cut corners!!! Polish that baby. It will be worth it
a FF turbo kit would make that already sick ass engine bay even better. with two external dump tubes coming out the hood, like a sheepey or a ets kit.
both black and polished manifold will look good..but in my opinion the best looking will be the polished one
Could you do the turbo manifold in the blue like the fasteners you got for the engine compartment?
Polish the manifold. Or clean it up as is and clear cerakote it. Looks dope that bronze looking color
KEEP THE YELLOW!!! Looks awesome
The starter actually shorts out internally for a split second before it starts turning i think thats why a fuse isn’t used
Looks amazing!proper rebuild!congrats!
Polished manifold for sure!
Devin my guy, you already know it needs to be blued 😉
Bike fan of the r6 wish it got shown on the channel more
Polish the manifold will stand out better, as you said it would be the first thing everyone would look at.
The polished look would be sick.
Polish for the bois
This channel is seriously my favorite no 🦲. Aye Devin polish than manifold bro it'll be clean AF if it were blued out bro...
Don't polish the manifold, it will blue yes but short lived results and be back to exactly how it looks now, Cerakote it titanium or bronze, with all that work into it its only right to coat the manifold properly, plus it helps spool and keep under hood temps lower being ceramic coated.
Definitely polished manifold
Polished look will be killer 👌
I think I am on the polish the manifold bandwagon too, it would look good black, but it would really pop if you polished it
