I think he must have muted his audio output in both his preview and live window, so that he's only hearing the output through Rendezvous, and assumedly he's then sure it's going live by watching the audio levels visually. I guess as you would be monitoring through Rendezvous which is the source audio, there's no reason why this would be a problem, as you would hear any issues, but does this sound like the best practice?
This is over an hour video. Most it just conversation and very general. However you do not even go in details on how to cancel echo. How to channel in more than 2,3,4 people and see what they hear and see. What is the difference what the Hosts see and the Guests. How to split the monitor audio to kill echo. Is there way to change the virtual monitor (feedback screen) resolution? What about WirecastGO? People with iOS can only use that to dial in. The SW is great but there is a lot to cover when doing a Rendevous, maybe you guys know too much and take things granted but new users need to learn all those ticks. Documentation is very high level and vague. Way to go! And do more video that are focused on issues and functions. Thanks.
I've had 2 guests who are unable to get logged in using Wirecast Go the link does not allow them to get logged in. Wirecast support is not my favorite not very friendly and dismissive when there are questions
@@DontBlameGene You can/could use Skype/Zoom etc.. as backup and add them as an input (I recently learned this option as well). My support experience is not brilliant but I am not a paying customer - testing the system. So far they are responding in 1-3 days I assume these days are pretty busy for them. Not trying to save them just sharing my experience and being transparent. I think the Rendevous feature is still handled as an orphan child in terms of video and thorough documentation.
Just purchased Wirecast and need to implement Rendezvous immediately - this video is incredibly frustrating, as the video seems more like an entertainment show than a "How to" as the title says. For goodness sake, can't you please just do a how-to, cover the technical points, step by step, we don't need to know who is watching your kids or how your lives are going (no offence!). We need technology info, not chatting and being "proud" etc. I give up, looking elsewhere.
If I'm live shooting two people in-person having a discussion with a rendezvous guest - what is the best way for them to hear the rendezvous guest's audio without it getting picked up by their microphones?
Click on the + in the layer to access the dropdown source menu > Rendezvous Session > Create Rendezvous Session which will provide the link for call-ins.
THE QUESTION IS: At what bitrate is the audio coming in from my 'caller' in Rendezvous? I ask because for our purposes, we need to hear the 'caller' play an instrument routed in a soundcard. Needs to be 160 kbps audio or higher. 192 would be nice.
(Update: Found it 9:27 is how to send a link, use Chrome for WEB RTC) Is there an invite email to link call in like webX? What timecode explains this? But do you need Wirecast to call in?
Yes. The same link is for all guests. The link only changes when you make a new Rendezvous session, or if your session expired because you didn't use it within 3 hours.
Over 8 minutes in the video and not relevant at all. after that you are starting the topic. really could have done it to the point video to save time for everyone
awesome mate ..
thanks
What did you do at 18:43 to take out the echo?

Is there an updated version of this video with the new version? because there are some issues with audio like echo and leveling issues
OMG it took you 8!!! Minutes to get to the topic.
Why do you need those shots with a and b? Can’t you just move back and forth between people? Thank you for doing this.
I really wish you guys would do step by step and skip all the fluff
I agree with Freddy ... WAY too much fluff and not enough instruction. Really frustrating to try and sift through to find anything of real value.
Yes kill the kindergarten....and get to the adults that’s buying this
Travis Duncan Photography You are using Wirecast, too?
Yeah WTH all these promotions before the "tutorial" 🙄🙄

I've thought about giving them both a device with wirecast go installed and connected, but then they would hear their own audio re-playing to them.
How did you set up the different shot templates?
wow..nice feature but i am confused how to set up...where is the dasboard??
Click on the + in the layer to access the dropdown source menu > Rendezvous Session > Create Rendezvous Session which will provide the link for call-ins.

How does the external speaker share the screen and at the same time a webcam is activated?

Yes. The same link is for all guests. The link only changes when you make a new Rendezvous session, or if your session expired because you didn't use it within 3 hours.
