One of the all time greatest bands and their anthem of anthems
I began listening to Petra in the 70's. They were my introduction to Christian Rock and I fell in love with it. I have followed them through the years and have most of their albums. I loved it when Dan Vasc sang with them and then heard his story about hearing John Schlitt's voice made him decide to be a singer. Just love them and thank you for reacting to them. The word Petra is the rock, from which the Apostle Peter was named.
Yes...John Schlitt leading this one, as with "Prayer." I agree about what you said about the Christian bands. One of the things I love about Brandon Lake, is the same thing. There's never any question about why he sings what he does.

Petra is widely regarded as the pioneering band of the Christian rock and contemporary Christian music genres. Formed in 1972, the band took its name from the Greek word for “rock”.
That was fun. These guys have been one of my favorite bands throughout my lifetime. I still go back to their music. Another favorite song of mine is from their Petra Praise the Rock Cries Out album, "The Battle Belongs to the Lord".
Unfortunately, being older Songs, it's a bit tricky finding videos like we are used to. There are a few.

Petra the greatest rock band ever. You nailed it when you said they just come out and tell you the Gospel. God blessed ob Hartman who formed the group to be able to write songs like this and just about everything they sing. They hold nothing bad k when it comes to God.

Dear Game t Changer. Have you ever heard of the Christian rock band Skillet ? One of my favourite songs of theirs is ( Stars) from the Unleashed album. Its a beautiful song about faith & love. Another great song of theirs from the same album is (Feel Invincible)
