Wondering if they ever talked about the fact that the "not your prom dress" meme immediately became and still is a dogwhistle from exactly the people youd expect.
I try to choose colors for various reasons, but it's not always the case. Grey is the base color for small memes, general themes, and outside references. Black is mostly for things closer to the community, the inside jokes from the long NLSS history, the games and other IPs commonly referenced on the show. Green has a cluster of spelling-based counters. Dan memes i usually keep with bright magenta. Red is commonly used for brash, loud, outrageous, incendiary, or completely stupid memes (9mm beretta, borat, henlo, civil war, hot dog=sandwich) and also rare game occurences and tactics (double-down, counterpick, jinx, deny/deflect/refuse). Outside of a few logical groupings like this, the colors are assigned just by feel. And it's not like those colors are reserved only for those things. There are green counters for Pepe and Shrek, red counter for Canada... I might revise those rules and make them more official when i go through the spreadsheet and assign categories, but really - it does not matter much.
I don't like this episode. It's coarse and rough and irritating, and it gets everywhere.
AND IT MAKES ME SHIIIIT!!!

Is there a reason to the color coding on the meme counts? I feel like the more prevalent the joke the brighter the color
