Decades ago the State of Texas should have raised the minimum age to buy any long gun to 21. No one under 21 should be able to legally buy any type of gun except BB & pellet guns. The Uvalde killer is just 1 example. Although he slaughtered 21, the cops gave him more than enough time to have slaughtered all 33 people who were in classrooms 111 & 112. If people under 21 want to hunt or do target practice, responsible adults over 21 can supervise the use of guns by folks under 21. I'm a lifelong Texan, military veteran, & I own guns.
