Marathas Decimate the Bahmani Sultanate: What Really Happened in Konkan?

- In the year 1453 AD, the Bahmani Sultanate launched a campaign on the Konkan region, aiming to conquer it. However, the ruling Maratha clans, holding minor kingdom in western coastal India, decided to step in and massacred the Bahmanis, resulting in Maratha Victory. Although the history of the Konkan region is full of mystery, this video aims to shed some light on what really happened in 1453 AD. By delving into the historicity of the region, we can better understand the origins of the Maratha Empire and the reasons why the Bahmanis launched their campaign on the Konkan. Thanks for watching!

Its nice to see that the Chalukyas were defending the country from invaders till their very last breath.
They were the first to defend india from Arab invasion. It was in 6th century where Avanijashreya Pulikeshi uncle of Pulikeshi 2,then governor of Lata(Gujarat) who fought against the Ummayads of Persia and defeated them. This kept happening till 12th century.
Later Rashtrakutas also did the same thing.
@@suraj.k.2475 Avanijashreya Pulikeshi comes into the picture during the rule of Vikramaditya the 2nd. He along with Dantidurga (the person who later overthrew his Chalukya overlords and became the first Rashtrakuta ruler) under Vikramaditya 2nd's command, repelled the Umayyad forces back to sindh halting their invasion towards Deccan. Pulikeshi is said to have repelled the Umayyad's navy with the help of his own navy and is also said to have sent one of his generals to aid the Parasikas in their battle against the Caliphate.

@@sudhakar7889not all but most of. ... Maharani Ahilyabai holkar was also a maratha she renovated so many temples including kashi vishwanath temple. And the last hindu empire was maratha's. Chhatrapati shivaji maharaj also destroyed masjids when he was in dakshin digvijay mission and reconstructed temples. Ch. Sambhaji maharaj destroyed many masjids in konkan region.

Just a small suggestion - Recent AI Models allow you to create very artistic images. Midjourney 5 is quite good. Using which you can create lot of impactful images. Some newer ai models can even generate music. This can really help and provide good artistic content supplication.

The local name of chalukya descendents in Maharashtra
Bringing in irrelevant issues like languages causes most irritating and unnecessarily ridiculous conflicts. Chalukyas and their branches spoke and used Sanskrit, Prakrit-branches such as Marathi, Gujarati & even Bengali and Maithili, Kannada, Telugu as well as Tamil depending on whom they ruled and what was the lingua franca of the time.
@@kshatriyapa i agree with you. Chalukyas of Vengi ditched Kannada and adopted Telugu. Senas of Bengal ditched Kannada and adopted Bengali.

@@sarojchaudhary3803 yes but that mean he did it in the name of islam. If that's the case then the cholas also drove jains and buddhists to extinction in the south. And marathas too after the death of bajirao used rape and kill many people when conquering new territories.
Then the Deccan sultanates rose and massacred the Marathas. Forcing them as slaves to destroy the Vijaynagra empire. Later, Abdali would butcher them at panipat. That’s probably why they couldn’t even rename Aurangabad until 2024 😮
I think you are stupid. It is the other way around. Marathas crushed the Deccan sultanates and established the Maratha empire over them. Marathas crushed the Mughals as well. Abdali was not able to eliminate Marathas as Marathas remained supreme power in India.
Panipat doesnt make any difference. Just after Panipat, Marathas sent another army to fight Abdali but Abdali chose to run away and makes peace with Marathas on their terms.
Abdali just defeated sadashivrao bhau and his contingent which was indeed massive but Abdali was too far to destroy marathas entirely. Only aurangzeb came close but himself got engulfed into marathi soil. Marathas destroyed mughals and their pride also damaged the muslim centralized power across india
@@factshistory3193 Abdali was in Delhi and could easily ally with the nizam and end the Marathas. But, he ordered the Marathas to respect and bow down to the Mughals in Delhi for peace. If not, there would be war. And the Marathas obliged as they bowed down to the Mughals.
