The fans have every right to expect from their team, similar/same results as the other big boys around the country who have the same recruiting and money in the game. Doesnt make them entitled to expect that. If this team has game planning issues, thats coaching, scheme issues COACHING, pressure issues COACHING. recruiting misses COACHING. Just win some kind of championship for a change and then thats considered progress. You are what your record says you are!
Day is a downgrade from urban
Never watched this great job will be watching now !!
Ducks didn't play the best game either. The missed interception, missed FG, missed PAT, missed 2PC, missed wide open Tez J in the endzone
Maybe Day needs to implement the anti-Costanza plan. Whatever he feels is the right move, do the opposite.
Im no longer living in denial…I’m ready to say that there’s been a full on power-shift in the conference. Oregon is now the team to beat…
For now, but they still have to win the B1G Championship Game and have a dominant playoff performance to be considered the best in the conference going into next season. They are recruiting well and will most likely be a formidable opponent in the future.
@@roris5882 and while Oregon may or may not win the conference championship, what everyone is now learning is that Oregon is a fantastic team, but never got the National recognition they deserved while in the Pac 12. With recruiting, they’ll only get better. And let’s be honest about Saturday’s game, while OSU made many cost errors, Oregon also played a less than perfect game. It certainly was a great game.
The narrative that OSU played a bad game and lost by one point is false, in my opinion. Howard played one of the best games of his career. 80% completions. Zero turnovers. For every small misstep he had he had two or three great throws. While the running game was not overwhelming, it still produced some chunk plays and a couple of scores. The OSU offense overwhelmed Oregon’s defense just like Oregon’s offense overwhelmed OSU’s defense.
The difference in the game from my view was game plan and in game coaching. It was Oregon who broke tendencies and caught OSU unprepared, torching Burke on double moves that Oregon had not put on tape all year. It was Oregon who took advantage of opportunities during the game, like trying to bean an up-man on a kickoff from the 50. It was Oregon who actually employed strategy in the last minute of the game. Ryan Day didn’t know that the clock gets wound on an offensive penalty when the ball carrier gets tackled inbounds, while Dan Lanning was seemingly aware that the clock rules had changed on an illegal substitution penalty.
OSU has a better roster than Oregon and lost anyway. They better figure it out, because they’re not going to always have that advantage considering that Oregon is currently on half revenue share.
OSU played a sloppy game, so there is plenty of things to correct and improve on. Especially with the coaching and the scheme.
With Ryan day, it will always be just a little short and a big game. Some people are just put together that way.
One play doesn’t make the game. Nor does one penalty.
Oregon fan here, I thought will howard played really good. Just that one bad play
His options were limited with only 6 seconds on the clock and just out of FG range. It was OSU's defense that didn't pull their weight.
The offense played well and Howard drove them down the field, during the final possession, and put them in position to win, but their mistakes eventually caught up with them. The defense didn't pull their weight because they couldn't get any pressure on Gabriel and Burke gave up too many big plays. They better figure it out during their bye week because LJ's predicable 4 down front isn't working against playoff caliber teams. He needs to rotate his D-Linemen more to keep them fresh in the 4th Quarter. Plus Mathews needs to replace Burke if he's hungover and getting cooked by allowing WRs to run right past him.
2-5 in his last 7 games vs ranked teams. With 3 consecutive losses.
The last time OSU had a HC who went 2-5 against ranked teams in 7 consecutive game is John Cooper in 99 and 2000.
The last time an OSU HC lost 3 consecutive games against ranked teams was also John Cooper from the loss at UM in 93, then losses to Washington and PSU in 94.
What else do these 2 coaches have in common????? oh yeah 3 straight losses to UM.
Ok who you gonna get vrabel he don't want it
Will Howard played great w😅sh he would at least try something deep so they can't play the run so much
@@kevindaniels9943 He might, the Browns are pure trash
Playoffs one year dumpster fire the next that's being a fan at least they tried they were not winning it with baker I liked him but watch he's not gonna win a Super Bowl with a better team in Tampa
When day loses all he says is yeah well we gotta fix that. Hairball may have been right with the 3 rd base comment.
Day seems to have an issue winning big games.
