Swab Summer is the first part of the Academy journey towards becoming an officer in the United States Coast Guard. It is designed to be challenging, both physically and mentally, to help prepare the newest members of the Corps of Cadets for Academy and military life.

Good luck, stand tall, be humble, courageous & study tour butts off and you will become a proud Coast Guard Officer like my cousin Richard W. Wright became. He had a 33 year career and loved it. To this day ( we're 78), I still periodically tell him how proud I am of him.
