Loved the idea of using a hand weight to hold down the ruler when using the rotary cutter. 💡

This is the absolute best beginner sewing channel. Even my uncoordinated and brain-fogged self can follow these! I made one of these today, and it actually looks fairly normal! :D

Easy, perfect! I’m going to see if I can figure out how to use an old fitted sheet for this.

A bed skirt! Do you know how to make one? I really want to make my son a bed skirt to help hide & keep him from pulling out everything I store under his bed lol I’d like for it to be a ruffle/wavy kind, just no idea how to go about it!

If I understand correctly, the hammock can be made with the entire piece of fabric (say if you have a full yard) thus, the work here is hemming and creating the channel for the drawstring? I'm new to sewing and just want to be sure I understand. For instance, can I make a mini one (just for kicks and practice LOL) out of a fat quarter?

You got it right! Yes, you are just sewing a loop on either end but then hemming the raw edges on the opposite ends. You could do a practice one for sure...although a fat quarter will not hold much! Happy Sewing :)
