    Super helpful. Very thorough! Genuine! I don’t think you would like my mat of choice: the Jade Harmony. It’s super grippy, the most grip I have found of any mat. But that’s my priority - stability and safety. Yup, because of grip, poses that require slip, are more challenging (fish pose, you’ll lose hair, but I do what you suggested, I use a blanket under my head). Because it’s open cell, it does break down a bit faster (cleaning is easy - three parts water to one part vinegar). Narrower than Lifeforme. Shorter (68 inches in my colors of choice - black or navy but they offer many colors that are longer). A tad thinner/narrower than I would like. But it calls me off my couch and I need that (NOTE: I practice twice a day - Hatha/Vinyasa on wood floor at home for now). Yes, would be interested to hear your review after you use the mat for a bit. Have you tried B Mat? Very curious about that one.

      Great, thank you so much for sharing this. I think it is a very useful information so if someone is deciding they can have a little comparison. Unfortunately I don't have any other experiences with high quality mats apart from Liforme so of course my review is very one pointed.
      I am uploading now my second review on it, well on them actually because I did have to get it exchanged unfortunately. I explain everything in that one, but I am still happy with the company.
      Thanks once again for your detailed comment! PS: I am tall and I need the space, so I love how wide it is :)

    Wow I’m impressed by your in-depth review of this mat. Excellent! Look forward to seeing how it wares over time & if it needs cleaning a lot to retain the colour. Great practice, excellent.

      Thank you kindly! I have an update video on the mat, check that. I didn't have a problem with discolorization of the white but I also didn't have it long enough to experience that

      @@karunayogahu The real test for grip is a sweaty practice like Ashtanga, so well done for actually showing it in fast forward. How come you didn’t keep it for long?

    • @karunayogahu
      @karunayogahu  3 года назад +1

      @@jojoellejay1724 Yep, and it was summer time too, best time to test. I had to send it back because the golden colour started to fade into an odd greenish one. They said probably it's faulty and although I loved that mat and how gorgeous it was, I didn't dare to order the same kind. Now I have the happiness mat, the orange one, but I really miss the white colour to be honest :) Do you use the same brand? How does it hold up? How many practices a week do you do?

    • @jojoellejay1724
      @jojoellejay1724 3 года назад +1

      @@karunayogahu I practice 5 x weekly but that’s just hot yoga (not Bikram). Still have yet to find a good mat that stands up to my sweat. I’ve been practicing hot yoga for 18 years with consistent 5 x weekly practice. So as you know the more you practice in a hot room the more you sweat. My mats are a laughing joke! Can’t afford expensive mats.

      @@jojoellejay1724 Oh I see, I never tried hot yoga. But even ashtanga in summer time is so sweaty, I can't even imagine the slipperiness of your practice! :D

    FYI - for around HALF the price, you can get a mat that's made from the same materials, has the same dimensions and thickness as the Liforme: The Plyopic Ultra Grip Pro Yoga Mat. And what's even better is Plyopic also do a Pro+ and a Lite version if you prefer a mat that's thicker or more portable 🙂

    Did the color ever wear out? Or does it get dirty faster than the other mats (because of its white color). I love the review! Thank you so much.

    • @karunayogahu
      @karunayogahu  4 года назад +3

      EL Est I will do an update, but yes, unfortunately the color did fade. Not only the white got messy - which was expected and I don’t mind - but the golden part faded into greenish at some places. Maybe the amount of sweat I put on it every day? Still if you do ashtanga and live in a warm place, which means you sweat a serious amount, this mat may not be your first choice.

      Karuna Yoga Thank you so much for your quick response! I was worried the mat color might fade or get dirty quick. Maybe I have to get a dark color. Thank you again!
      I’m looking forward to your new videos! 💕

      EL Est you are welcome 😊 with the dirt, I do was hands and feet before practice (traditionally done as well I believe). And as long as you do that and then wipe and let it dry, I think it will stay relatively white. But I also live in the city, so the air itsef is a bit dusty.
      Maybe get a darker colour if you don’t want it to look so dirty. I just like bright because colors do effect my mood.

    I ordered this mat (white) and used it for the first time today at core power. Unfortunately, after the first use, there are already smudges on the mat! And they won’t come off with the mat cleaning wipes. Even when I scrub hard. So take a caution. There is no way for me to leave a review on their website, so I’m leaving it here.❤

      thank you for sharing it. im about to order a liforme mat and im so attracted to this white one but if it isn't a white mat after a year of usage then it makes no sense to have it. im going to custom my own with my name on it :P a GRAY one! ofc

      I bought it in the studio I used to practice at in England. But I think you can buy them online too.
