Chuck Berry, of course, is a genius JUST for writing classic, iconic R&R songs. People want to be able to relate to lyrics in a song that makes their foot tap. What he did for rock and roll will never be equaled. What Jimi Hendrix did for electric blues will never be equaled. See Hendrix's version of Johnny B. Goode on RUclips, it is nothing less than astonishing. Nobody will ever equal Hendrix in guitar playing.
Lennon said it. " The Greatest Rock and Roll Poet"... and he was very sharp to see how much he influenced Bob Dylan.. which is an absolute and direct line..in poetry and story telling in song.( same thing, eh ? )
Good question. I had to look it up. The movie, made in 1987, was a celebration of his 60th birthday, organized by Keef Richards of the Rolling Stones. Obviously, there are some earlier clips as well.
Humble Mr Keith Richards playing guitar at the background.
Keith knows he ain't **** next to Chuck. That's Keith's hero, man.

Chuck and Bo Diddley invented rock n roll
Great version. Chuck would often take too many liberties. This one is sweet. Keith had something to do with that, I’m sure:)
How old was he in this performance? And he still makes it look so casual.
