Then they just need to drop her burst to 60 and double the amount of attacks her skill can do (twice as fast) and she would be almost decent. But no, Hoyoverse seems to think there will be enough simps out there who will just spend for literal garbage.
i’ve seen that theory floating around but it unfortunately makes no sense. think about it, the beta period is specifically for testing new characters. if they waste that period and then suddenly change her kit at the last minute, they have no way to test her. hoyo will NEVER release an untested character, out of fear of them being too op and broken.

I’ve been waiting for Xenon ever since his first leaks came out, he just seems like such a hilariously hateable character that I can’t help but love him. The only hope I have left is that they kind of threw away this beta to discourage leakers, and they've been making changes and improvements to her without releasing those changes to the beta. It feels unlikely, and I'm not putting much stock in the theory, but it would be nice to be surprised on her launch day. She's too cool and likeable to be so underwhelming.

Maybe, but, well, if she's released as is, and she's as bad as people seem to think she will be, then it isn't about her, but rather about Hoyoverse. That they feel it is okay to release something that is so very obviously not balanced. Now, personally, I doubt she'll be released as she is now. Which isn't to say I think they'll make her good. Just less bad. The way I see it, she has three big issues. First, shields exist, and absorb 100% of the damage. So if she doesn't bring a decent amount more to the table offensively than Zhongli, then why does she exist? Second, pyro is probably the second worst element. It really only has vaporize going for it, and maybe melt Ganyu. So she won't get that boost in value that the likes of Kokomi has, just by being hydro. Third, the Chinese New Year probably saw work on her slow down, during a period she really needed to be given value.

I would like her to be good but honestly I don't care. It's a face roll game and people getting personally offended are weirding me out.
Maybe, but, well, if she's released as is, and she's as bad as people seem to think she will be, then it isn't about her, but rather about Hoyoverse. That they feel it is okay to release something that is so very obviously not balanced.
Now, personally, I doubt she'll be released as she is now. Which isn't to say I think they'll make her good. Just less bad. The way I see it, she has three big issues. First, shields exist, and absorb 100% of the damage. So if she doesn't bring a decent amount more to the table offensively than Zhongli, then why does she exist? Second, pyro is probably the second worst element. It really only has vaporize going for it, and maybe melt Ganyu. So she won't get that boost in value that the likes of Kokomi has, just by being hydro. Third, the Chinese New Year probably saw work on her slow down, during a period she really needed to be given value.
