Rahul Joshi Vinods response was that of a man who is working with the authorities and therefore has to shut up and play it down whenever he is asked about it.

In 2021, I find his talk amazingly prescient.. stuff he talked about in 2013 are now getting commonplace

The host was talking about eggs and Khosla started talking about beef. There are some major differences between raising beef for consumption and raising chickens for egg consumption. I earned my degree from a major agricultural school, so I have an educated perspective of the subject. In addition, chickens provide more than eggs, so there are other benefits to raising them.
Khosla is arrogant because he has so many ass-kissers.

Please don't be confused. Cows eat grass not corn. If you feed them corn they will eat it but they naturally eat grass. And if you give them grass you don't have to consume the water that it takes to grow the corn. Just saying...
I think the reason they eat corn is because you can grown more corn vs grass in the same amount of land
So grass doesn't need water? lol yes the whole point corn is used rather than grass is yield per area. It's that simple.

I did not get the joke until I googled the ACEG phrase. So here is my nerdy answer:
The majority of cows actually feed on corn. It is very inefficient from an energy point of view but that´s how it goes with high intensity meat production in the US. Check out this excerpt from The Omnivore´s Dilemma by Michael Pollan.
DISCLAIMER: It´s kind of disgusting.
“There are some 45,000 items in the average American supermarket, and more than a quarter of them contain corn. Corn has successfully changed the U.S. diet and animals diet. This can be seen when Pollan monitors the development of a calf from a pasture in South Dakota through its stay on a Kansas feedlot to its dreadful end. The animals evolved to eat grass, but more than half of a feedlot cow’s food comes from corn. The other half contains other products such as meat. “Feather meal and chicken litter (that is, bedding, feces, and discarded bits of feed) are accepted cattle feeds, as are chicken, fish, and pig meal,” Pollan explains. He goes on to say “since the bovine meat and bonemeal that cows used to eat is now being fed to chickens, pigs, and fish, infectious prions could find their way back to cattle when they’re fed the protein of the animals that have been eating them.” Of all the terrible stuff feedlot cows eat, the most damaging is corn, which tends to damage their livers. Corn-fed cows become sick as a matter of course, a fact accepted by the industry as a cost of doing business. “Between 15 and 30 percent of feedlot cows are found at slaughter to have abscessed livers,”
