    Pro tip. If you’re on pavement that looks wet, look for mist coming from your wheels and other vehicle wheels around you. If you don’t see mist. You’re on ice. 🤷🏽‍♂️

    First time watching your videos and I can relate to everything you do except when I was otr I was a company driver and not O/O. Been driving 7 years and coldest I've been in was -18 up in Minneapolis. Nearly froze my doggy balls off! In Tennessee one time when I first started driving I had a empty and roads were icy and damn trailer started sliding into the right lane next to me. I shut down real quick after that. Yeah buddy! Enjoying your stuff. Be safe out there.

First off, the top of your truck isn't deflecting the air over the trailer so it's like hitting a brick wall. Don't get me wrong I love the older hood trucks more than the plastic trucks but the money savings is massive.

    • @OTRBandit
      @OTRBandit  6 месяцев назад

      @@powshredder3716I’ve watched that video and his numbers don’t add up. All of those fuel savings go out the drain when you have to replace DEF on it for for $10K+ . Just the a maintenance savings alone on truck like mine is worth owning one over the new one. My engine rebuild is $13K, new truck engine rebuild is $40K. You are right, If this truck wasn’t a glider, it wouldn’t be worth owning it over a Freightliner or some other new truck. The only reason this one is better than newer trucks even with that fuel difference, is because it’s a glider. I would never own one of these if it wasn’t a glider. Wouldn’t be worth it. I still get pretty decent fuel mileage on this one because it’s a Detroit engine in it. I average about 6.5 MPG. Which is not bad for a truck like this.
