Hey Abby! Def recommend using a recruiter! They can do the digging for you and I have had such better luck with jobs I apply to with them. They get your foot in the door way easier than just applying and also are a great help with interview prep and answering questions you have that you don’t necessarily want to ask. Best of luck with the job search!
I def need to! I have a bunch in my linked in dms for tax roles and was overwhelmed with who to respond to LOL. I’ve had connections within my network help me with applying to some things but I told myself I def need to get in touch w a recruiter if this round of interviews I have doesn’t work out. I moved from NJ to NC to be with my boyfriend and his family 3 years ago and I can tell you it’s been the hardest thing. Especially being someone who is so so close with my family, I understand the struggle

Definitely related when you spoke about how hard it is to move from your family. Thinking about post-grad where I want to live and moving from them seems so difficult/the guilty conscience. But also how lucky we are to have parents we miss and want to be around lol.

Ofc! Yes all of that was mainly 50/50. There were a few bills I covered while I was working 2 jobs & made more than griffin (like our electric bill & I covered groceries for a bit) just because it wasn’t fair to make it be 50/50 when I had 2 pretty decent incomes lol. Prior to being engaged though I’d say it was prob like 60/40 and once we got engaged, I covered a little bit more!!
YES. IM UNEMPLOYED..... the struggle is tough, but it has given me time to just look around and see nature as beautiful and play with my dogs, clean my apartment and spent time with my husband.
Also I am spending time to know God more and reading books about God or mystery or romantic books.
Money is to survive and live a simple life. When we die we can't take anything with us. I have been giving away clothes and I am back in grad school.❤❤❤❤❤

Have you considered whether you might be neurodivergent? I’m AuDHD and you often describe a lot of things I relate to that might be ADHD. I know you’ve talked about going to therapy, but it’s not the same if you’re trying to do something that’s aimed at a different brain wiring than you have. I was late diagnosed and it’s been life changing for the way I see myself and the way I approach life, so just wanted to share in case it helps in any way for you ♥️ also not expecting you to share either way.
I haven’t tbh, but it’s just never been presented/brought up to me so it hasn’t been a thought! But that totally makes sense about the brain wiring though! I’m so happy for you that you found some answers that have helped you so much and I appreciate you sharing 💛
