Hi Luis - It would work but I would suggest another rod for inshore fishing. These are really a surf rod by design with slender grip and a softer action. If that is what you are after it would be a good affordable match.
These are composite (carbon fiber blend) rods but that doesn't really tell you much. Just a heads up Tsunami just last week released their new SaltX II and Forge line up of rods they are both the cat's meow. I'll hopefully get a video up ion the next week or two. On the other note, while I never met Jame (Doc Ski) I did watch his videos and learned a lot from him, Dale Clements and Tom Kirkman.
How does the Trophy 2 compare to the Airwave Elite Surf Rod? Which one is stronger per the same length of rod? I'm thinking about buying a Tsunami surf rod, but don't know which one is stronger and lighter. Thank you very much if you can answer my questions, I appreciate it!
The Trophy 2 is a lower price and with that lower price is a lower quality/performance rod. The Tsunami Trophy 2 Series is a line up of great affordable surf rods. They are perfect for many different applications. Anglers looking for a set up in quality should look at the Air Wave Elite. The Airwave Elite Series is one hell of a series and in all reality should be priced at 20% more than it is. It stacks up and holds its own agains rods twice its price point. The Airwave Elite Series has a better blank, more quality set of guides (Fuji K-Frame With Alconite Ring), more durable Fuji Reel Seat as well as a different grip (x flock shrink wrap). Yes the Tsunami Trophy II Series rods are available in both spinning and conventional. At the time of this comment we are low on some of these rod. Contact us to check stock (we might have more than what shows as "in stock" on website). Later in the year as spring approaches we'll be stocked up for the season. fishermansheadquarters.com/tsunami-trophy-ii-surf-spinning-rods/

What is the line weight for braid on the 10’6 tsunami trophy 2
TSTIISS 1062HF 10'06" Heavy Fast 20-65lb 3 - 8oz however personally feel the rod is more like a 1.5/2 - 4/5oz range.
