A helpful tip for future reference, after reaching the wooden bead you should just pull up on the yarn enough to pull the whole rest of the necklace through the loop and that would have knotted it.
At the end, I would of just single or half double crochet just to hide knotted part of necklace to give it a better clean look. But that just my mind working for solutions. The necklace is awesome looking nonetheless.
