Always wanted an Urukai with the White Hand of Saruman on the chestplate collecting the toybiz figures as a kid. Reminds me of the helmetless commander posed on the boulder sounding the charge in the battle of Helm’s Deep. Might pick this figure up & pose him like that in a diorama. Great video / Urukai figure comparison
I got two of these and they look great, but while the ToyBiz scale was a little odd, the Diamond scale is way off. This Uruk should definately be as tall as the ToyBiz Uruk's. Still like you said it looks great.
The comparison between Toybiz and Diamond select is a good idea, but just one constructive criticism- why would you do the comparison lying down? It would be better to have them standing up to provide a better visual comparison.
No idea why I did that this particular time…I don’t think I normally do that. I lent my normal light to my friend one time- maybe that was when I filmed this and I had to rely on the ceiling light?, but yeah, you’re right having them lying down is kinda awkward.
Buttons were annoying in Toybiz but scalewise and all I think Toybiz still wins. If they had todays technology with enough budget no other toy company would survive other than Toybiz.
If only! The quantity and quality of Lord of the Rings figures they made in such a short time is unmatched! The figures at the end of the line were incredible!
I noticed that too, but when I went back and watched Fellowship again, during most scenes it actually isn’t visible-not even the chain he has it on. The Prancing Pony and Weathertop he has it in his pocket, and I believe at Balin’s tomb and the Mines of Moria he has it on a chain that can’t be seen. So in fairness, I think it’s OK that he doesn’t have it.

That battle cry orc has liver failure and lockjaw, common ailments of Uruks that survived the Battle of Helm's Deep.
Nice to have an “in-universe” explanation for his appearance! LOL
I want a Cave Troll from Diamond Select
Yes! That’s a great idea! Especially considering the rubber parts on the Toy Biz ones have rotted for most people.
@@noskillcustoms that's indeed the reason why I want a new one ;-)
I wish i had all of those orc figures
