I make banana peel tea for my Staghorn Fern plants. I learned this from the Horticulture Staff at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens. I volunteer there at the Animal Nutrition Center. We make most of the zoo animals diets. One of my diets is for our bats that include 20-25 bananas peeled and grinned. I take the peels home and make tea.
I would definitely prefer to eat organic bananas, but when it comes to making compost from the peels I don't think it really matters. Thanks for watching!
Can simply put peels in an empty bottle, fill with tank water, shake well &pour some into a pot plant

Does it matter if they aren't organic bananas?
