Winton and Ayrshire Downs (Hipcamp)

On our way north this spring, we stopped at Winton in the Outback of Queensland and found this wonderful and friendly Hipcamp, called Ayrshire Downs and about 50kms north of Winton, but well located to get to the national park, the dinosaur displays and also the pretty and very good town of Winton.
We visited Opalton, via the National Park and wandered around town - the Winton Information Centre is excellent and has a cool display about "Waltzing Matilda".
Linda at Ayrshire Downs gave a tour of the property and told us the history and how a shearing shed functions, they have a little museum of family stuff and it was really interesting.

Omg coming across those goannas so funny. Cant wait to get to Winton in April this year. Did you leave your van at the hipcamps while going out to explore ? Did you feel safe leaving it when there was no one else there ? That historical tour looks great

Hey, what camp stove do you have that fits on the outdoor table? Waiting on my Gator and wasn't sure if i would be able to fit one on there. Thanks.

This table size is 71cm plus surround as we fitted this extra table. The bbq is a companion 2 burner stove - Pro Heat about $220 - I cannot see a model number on it…
