I've had my Revolver S headset for almost four years now, and honestly I've had zero issues, the headset is durable as hell, i've dropped them and accidentally given the wire coming into the headset a good pull quite a few times and they still work like brand new. The only thing I've had to replace is the ear cup pads, as mine were flaking and falling apart, but that's to be expected after four years of heavy work and gaming use. I'm really impressed with this headset.
In the short amount of time I have been using these, I noticed that while the sound is really impressive on average, there are certain things that bring the experience down a bit (I am coming from Cloud IIs, been using those for 3 years). The main negative thing for me is that there seem to be these moments where they get "stuck", producing digital noise (as mentioned in the video). Sometimes, it is pretty loud. Sometimes it is barely noticeable. On some occasions, you can hear a sort of a "beep" (going into standby perhaps?) and the static stops. But sometimes it doesn't happen, leaving you with static background noise until you play pretty much any sound. The other thing is the price (in comparison to Cloud IIs). You get a similar package for almost double the price (at least where I come from). But if you really want something that sounds a bit beefier, I can recommend them overall.
I've gone thru a few headsets in my days... but I've had this one for years and years. Never once has this made my head hurt after wearing it for long periods of time.
Hi man , i have some question about the ( revolver s ) what is the difference between the audio boxes , there is two what is the difference and wich one is better ?
i remember getting one of these when it come out several years ago and a wire just broke on it. speakers still worked flawless until the end and got another on the way. nothing sounds quite as good.
I've had my Revolver S 7.1 surround headphones for a few years now. I'm bummed that the newer models do not use the same ear cushions, the ones I have are very soft and comfortable but now they have a tougher foam. Wanted to buy some replacements because mine have torn a little. Other than that, they sound fantastic, the bass in them is so nice compared to other high end gaming headphones.
Through my work I have the ability to get these at a discount all the way down to just $80... I'm really considering picking them up and this review makes them seem seem like thats probably and really good deal.
Really enjoyed the review! Since this is the latest video reviewing this headset i'm going to ask this question here and hope you (or anyone) can help! I can't seem to get an answer anywhere else. I'm interested in getting these to be used on xbox and PS. I know i'm going to get a good build and good soundstage, the question i'm having trouble answering is 'do these headphones offer mic monitoring?'. It's spoken about a little in other reviews that you can activate it on the headset by holding the EQ button on the side of the inline remote for 3 seconds. But other articles i've read have mentioned that HyperX have removed this functionality in their last firmware update. I don't want to spend £135 on a headset that doesn't perform the one function i want it to. I don't have to worry about this on xbox, as mic monitoring is native to the OS on ANY xbox. You can get mic monitoring with any headset on this console. But playstation is where it gets tricky and seems to be headset / manufacturer dependent. Some people say it comes up in the PS OS settings but i haven't had any sign of it show and i've so far attached 3 headsets to the console directly. Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks.. currently using prior version of hyper x (been using them for over 7 years now) But wondering if this is more beneficial to prior models? Sorry don't know what model I am using. (checking) Cloud flight, I believe.. Wonder if this is better? Need louder headpones. O_o Getting older, need crisp etc. hmm
I was looking to see if to buy these to stream better audio on my Twitch streams. Do I need to use the Audio Table Control (the 7.1 extension) for a clear audio output or does it sound the same if I just plug the jack cord directly onto my laptop?
Do have a question: if I plug the Headset into the ps4 controller, my mates can listen to my voice without any problems. But If I plug it into the audio control box, my mates do have struggle listening to me but I’m having a better sound. So if I want to play with friends, I’ll never be able to listen to 7.1, why??
@@henribecker6908 I usually used the 7.1 surround sound feature for single player games and i'd switch to stereo for competitive games like cs and valorant. My dongle for the 7.1 surround sound broke a few months ago but I didnt care at all since it was more of a gimmick.

After 2 years of experiences, I can confirm this headset is uncomfortable for long time gaming. They also could have done better job at the microphone. I've seen many people happened to have broken pads like mine, and there is no way of replacing it. For the price point, I do not recommend this headset.

So what's the difference between the cloud revolver s vs the cloud revolver 7.1 ?
I'm trying to find out the same thing, my cloud II's failed after 3+yrs... looking to invest in another pair made by HyperX.
7.1 has the audio driver you can adjust on the control box. Revolver doesn't.
i got the S which has 7.1 years ago and just got the revolver 7.1 yesterday. it sounds different but i cant fkn tell what

how is the weight for this? the only thing deterring me right now is that amazon says it weighs 2.71 LBS which is much heavier than other Headphones.
It’s not actually two pounds, it’s around 350 grams which isn’t even close to 2 pounds
Hyperx claud alpha or revolver?
I lost my USB cable to achieve the 7.1 soundstage, anyone got a way to buy a new one?
Do they work with Xbox series via USB?
Would the control panel work when plugged into a Samsung ? Or smart phone? Like the 7.1 button and stuff
