Those big fish (deep sea snapper species like uku and onaga) the guys were scaling in the beginning are delicious! We also have them here in Hawaii! Cool to see some similarities in different tropical places around the world! Maldives look magical!

Chris & Carol:I wish you guys safe journeys on your next destination this week after spending two or three weeks in the Maldives from April to May of 2023❤❤❤
Thank you for such an informative vlog about the Maldives. Love how you showed both luxurious and affordable vacation options for one of the world's most seeked out vacation destination
Maldives is a country has a full of white sandy beaches, but there are no mountain landscapes. If you want that. Seychelles are in the indian ocean area which has a different landscape and seascape and has a crystal clear water. I think Palawan has a multiple kind of landscape/seascape in each corner. I notice that Palawan in in the South are same category in the maldives beaches with soft white sandy beaches and crystal blue water.
Chris & Carol:Thanks you guys for your final or last video this week in the Maldives in May of 2023❤❤❤I wish you guys good LUCK & BEST wishes to you guys in peace 2023❤❤❤
Hiya. Chris and Carol. I had to reset my bell. As I did not get this notification. *Wow. What a wonderful experience swimming with the manta rays. Breathtaking.* Great footage. Gorgeous sandbar. Chill out. Beautiful footage. I would pay for that to have the same experience. Not so many people. Good vibes. Beautiful underwater footage. Lovely video. Always good vibes. That is saying something. Saying it is the best country. You two are well-traveled. It is a paradise. Have a wonderful Thursday and weekend. Thank you for sharing.
I wish you guys safe journeys & good LUCK to you guys always in peace on your next remarkable destination in May of 2023❤❤❤Remarkable video to watch in peace 2023❤❤❤
Such incredible shots of swimming with the Manta rays 😊😊 They are incredibly beautiful creatures! Your videos are stunning , The Maldives stole my heart❤ I have already started planning a trip in the winter time! Thank you for bringing us to the most gorgeous places in the world Carole and Chris . You always make my day 🥰
Thank you Chris & Carol for this awesome absolutely gorgeous pure white sand beaches ❤🎉 Hahaha I’m loving the parrot fish poop that creates the best white sand beaches and thank goodness for them & what makes the sand absolutely gorgeous & unique in Maldives only & now I know why - bring on parrot fish please for creating perfect crystal white sand dunes 🏖🦋🙌👏🙏👍👌😇💗🤗
Maldives is really beautiful! Hope I get rich soon so I can go on vacation there! I have read news reports that the Maldives will disappear in decades. I wonder if you have heard similar statements in the local? Hope Maldives will never disappear, give me a chance to go! Thank you very much for sharing! 👍🥰🙏
They build Hulhumale artificial island next to Male that is higher above the sea to prevent sinking and extend living space. Local in maafushi said if we heard about Maldives getting washed away. Well, he is living there 30 years and have not notice any changes. Lot of water villas are build above water. Loved my time in Maldives Dec 2022
Gianni you no need to be super rich to visit Maldives. You can stay from 50$ to 50k range in Maldives. If you like to visit Maldives your most welcome 😊
You are correct, parrot fish was the reason sand appear on earth. But on the other hand they ate the corals which is bad. Sipadan has many parrot fish, that is worrying.
Beautiful place Maldives is , it’s a popular destination of you want warm , fresh air sunny turquoise beach , white sands , you named it. It’s more expensive . But if you’ve enjoy it and loved it there then it’s worth it . That’s a holiday is all about spend , relax and enjoy . 👍
Wow, Maldives is really the destination for a laid back holiday. There are beach activities, sandbars to hop and the water is just insanely clear with white sand beaches wherever you go! Glad we have options to have a more affordable accommodations and places to eat that will not drain much in your budget. The manta rays are huge. I only saw it in the Atlantis, Bahamas in their man made aquarium but not swimming with them in the wild. That’s an experience you can’t forget… thanks for this wonderful vlog❤️
I've been to the Maldives and stayed at resorts from very expensive to good prices, during Feb and March which is the high season. I love the Maldives a lot.
Great video as usual. I love the high resolution and drone shots plus the underwater shots too. Your photography is getting better and better over the years. What editing software do you use?
Hi Chris, Carol, my wife and I have been enjoying watching your adventures for quite a long time. We remember the time when you were stuck in Philippines during Covid days. We enjoyed the short run "Cooking with Carol" series and were hoping that it would make a return. Any chance? Also, it would be great if you could give more time for the food that you order. You know, how does it taste, do you like it and the such. We also notice that you love beaches and clear water islands (like I do). I was wondering why not take a Scuba diving course so that you have the option to go film underwater when there's an opportunity? Take care and keep on traveling!
@JumpingPlaces: I have liked and subscribed to your channel. Which month did you go and are the manta rays present in January as well? Pls let me know. Thanks.
Couldn't help thinking of poor Steve Irwin' s fate when I saw you swimming with the Manta Rays... I know they're not sting rays but they still had a sting in their tales...I wouldn't go near them😮 You guys are very courageous!
If you’re into isolated tropical islands, then Maldives looks amazing. But aside from the main island of Male, it doesn’t look like you experience much culture on the isolated hotel islands. It seems like traveling to a country like Thailand, would be a more affordable option.
Been to the most famous beaches in the world from the South Pacific to Mexico and the Caribbean. In regards to water and sand none compares to Varadero or Cayo Largo del Sur in Cuba
The reason why you witness white sandy beaches with broken corals in the Philippines, because when the strong typhoon hits it can washed the corals with a bigger strong wave and you witness the corals in the shoreline
You need to visit San Andrés Island and take a tour to Johnny Cay tour Acuario Islan for a beach like this. San Andrés Island is a Colombian Island, so you would have to travel to Bogota, since I took that rout.
I'he been in Ukulhas 2018 January, actually already before that year they were already open for tourism. I feel lucky I've been there in 2018, the island was not that much developed that time, very authentic with a very few guesthouses and maybe only one bar and 1-2 restaurants....I did manta ray snorkeling and sand bank tour as well, we were the only people on the tours, also on the sand bank all day long... price was 100-150 USD for 2 person 1 tour. I see now the island developed a lot, this is good and somehow also sad in the same time because will be not anymore that authentic :) but this is globalization and global tourism, so that's OK. I guess good for the locals as well if they can create some more business opportunity although most of the investors are outsiders as far as I know.... Would be worthy to visit again and see all the changes :) maybe soon.... thanks for your video!
As a Maldivian, it's so nice to hear of your experience in a local island. Somehow, I feel more connected to someone who's been to our part of the country and have seen how we live. It's bittersweet for us too that the islands are becoming more developed. We do welcome the convenience, but there's the fear that these beautiful islands could be swallowed up by concrete structures. I think most of us wish that it could at least be developed in a way that preserves the authenticity. Much love to you from the Maldives. ♥️
I wonder if this is as beautiful as AMANPULO ISLAND resort near Palawan,Philippines-a high end resort island many American actors go..would really like to check out Maldives . Thanks for this beautiful video..✌🏼🇫🇷
Maldives is a beautiful island "paradise" country for sure, but I think its tragic that most of their workers are not natives. They come from elsewhere. It reminds me of Dubai where you are more likely to interact with foreigners than the natives/locals. So you go there for the beaches, but not the culture.
it's a bit different to dubai, in dubai almost everyone you interact with isn't a local. In the maldives we still interacted with way more locals than foreigners. Even on the resort island the people doing the jet ski tours and boat tours were locals, the people coming to our room were locals and the helper that they assigned to us was a local. On this local island of ukulhas the boat guys were both locals and about 80% - 90% of the people in our hotel and restaurants were locals. We didn't really see many foreigners working on this island besides the 2 girls at the restaurant

Yes it is a muslim country

It was supposed to disappear decades ago, don't believe everything the climate cult propagates...

Amazing underwater footage. Crazy story about the parrot fish poop.😂 👍😊💙🐟🐠🐡
Yeah seems nuts that they produce that amount lol, apparently they are also a big reason why hawaii has nice white beaches
Cool. Loving all the content.👍😊
Yes :-) $70 , not cheap , was super cool though and a small part of your budget :-)
Maldives is good for snorkeling especially whale shark snorkeling. I have the best vacation in my life. I am going back for 2 weeks in April 2025.
Dope! Really enjoyed the video. I have been lukewarm on the Maldives but this shows it to me in a different light.

Yes we didn't see any anywhere, even on the deserted islands that nobody cleans
