Whoa. Gotta admit, at first the song choice was really off-putting, but then it grew on me. Really well-edited video, with beautiful-quality clips. Great work. Bane really was spectacular, wasn't he? :D
Thanks. I like the song from the beginning but it also grew on me :P I guess its not everyone's cup of tea. And yeah, bane was awesome, menacing and very well acted byTom Hardy
DynamicFactorX I guess it was more just jarring because by now I so strongly associate Zimmer's type of war-drums/synthesizer/ambient rumble music with these movies that its odd at first hearing different music playing. Its a good song, don't get me wrong.
And Hardy deserves pages of praise for his performance here. Pity he's still overshadowed a tad by Ledger's iconic performance from before.
I see where you are coming from. But the ledger's joker was much better as Hardy's Bane. Not to diminish the performance of Tom Hardy because it was awesome but you cant deny that ledger's performance was shockingly good.
DynamicFactorX No, absolutely agree. I'm just saying that I wish Hardy's Bane wasn't so often judged in comparison to Ledger's Joker, when both are phenomenal villain performances in different ways. I guess I think while Ledger gave the better acting, Hardy's Bane is the better villain in a 'narrative' sense. Since he's got more layers, ties directly into Bruce's backstory with the League of Shadows, and in terms of scale, is truly the greatest threat Batman has EVER faced in these movies.
But still, absolutely zero disrespect to Ledger-as-Joker intended. I'm just saying, I love both, prefer Bane now for his larger role in the story of the trilogy, and I wish he got as big of a critical reputation as Joker. But sadly, there's still idiots who just think of him as a punchline for "muffled voice" jokes.
Hahahah, I absolutely loved the muffled voice. It gave him a sense of scariness. I think the two are not comparable as well. Bane is physically superior than the Batman, which he never faced before. While the joker tries to break the Batman mentally and tries to blacken him, he is uncompromising and a loose cannon which is not bound by morals or rules. both are great. I think they appear in the right order. While the Joker brought much depth and darkness to the series that it much needed, Bane offered more action and a bigger scale plot which was needed for the last part in the series.
Moral of both our stories: They are both awesome and the Dark knight series is one of the best "superhero" movies ever created!
