This dude tries to make good music and doesn't get recognition, but the momment he uploads a video of random noise the youtube algorithm decides that this is what he should be known for.
Honestly for some musicians they wind up making music that's casual and restricted to a certain concept with mass appeal instead of going deep into certain concepts, for me I made simple beats because I heard certain sounds I wanted to exaggerate and then I went deep into learning about as much about music as I can like music theory and production and the science of how sound works and that gave me a clearer perspective on music, this video is every idea I had at that point put together, and everybody saw that and that makes me happy that my weird stuff got me popular but when you listen to my old music I like that too because you know the base elements of my sound, really the difference between any song I make is the amount of my vision I decide to put in it.
it's 12:50 at the dead of night. im wearing headphones while watching this. im not scared in the slightest... somehow this is actually... kind of amazing i love this video this is peak content. you deserve many subscribers
For the context of this review, I listened to all 15 minutes and 54 seconds of this with no breaks except for when my internet cut out at 5 minutes and 49 seconds, full screen. First I will be very blunt, this is not music. This is almost unlistenable, and for most people it probably is. 0/10, if not -5/10 on the scale of music, no rhythm, no melody, no beat, it is garbage as far as music goes. However, this is something else, it isn't just random noise. It is somewhere between random noise and music, it is obviously composed. If you are to view it from the perspective of a composition, it can be compared to something like Death Grips' Gmail and the Restraining Orders. This is an audio-visual experience, so I will judge it as such. This piece has a lot of interesting sights and sounds, the two that stick in my addled mind are the DS, the kid, and the parking lot. If I had to take a stab at interpreting them, the DS represents randomness, as it is a stylus tapping randomly over and over again, the kid, to me, also represents randomness, just because it is incredibly vague and faceless, not much going on except strange dance moves, and the parking lot represents cops and maybe injustice due to the appearance of a cop. The audio itself is a bit interesting, it's largely repetitive, except for at 10:33, it's very obviously just figaro. It creates for an altogether very interesting piece, I'd give it a 7/10 from that perspective. Make more.
I actually got the time to listne to this now, honestly really cool. My girlfriend might like it. Does remind me of Animal Collective's 2nd album Danse Manatee a bit.

I might make behind the scenes video of all the stuff I used, but for the most part the music was some casio keyboards recorded on a 4 track cassette machine and the video is just some video feedback done on computer software and then recorded on to a vhs tape to give it more texture.
