My dachshund is almost completely silent which is nice because he's not barking at anything but one noise he does make is sneeze, Whenever he thinks he's not getting enough attention hes gonna sneeze at you, in your ear if possible
LOL Our little Harley is so spoiled when it's time for bed I go over to the couch where he's snuggled up against my Wife and try to get him to go out to Pee Pee. He rolls over on his back and makes me pick him up, just like a little baby. Yes, he is spoiled rotten. He loves being covered up in the bed and when it's time to fold clothes just out of the dryer he's all in there burying himself in the warm clothes. LOL Wouldn't trade him for a million dollars.

My baby does this all the time. He sleeps in my bed and I turn over and ask him if he wants to get up and he goes "burrrrrrrrrrrrh". Such a cute doxie!

My little dachshund Kenzie is like that too. where as my pit bull Luna wakes up at 3 in the morning to ask if you want to play ball. But my other dachshund Tia just sits by and watches as we all make fools of ourselves. XD I love my girls.
Dachshunds are much different than other dogs... I've owned two(one died very young at 5 years) but he was a badass lol. Everything you described he would do, they had a mind of their own and are extremely smart dogs. He wouldn't bite as much as you describe Lucy but he would whenever he felt someone wanted to stop his fun. My new pup I have now(he's 8 months) has the same qualities, as if my old dog came back to life as a new one. Gotta love them though, they are riots, but funny ones.
Dachshund are by far the best breed of dog. Hands down.
