Back in the day when I collected over 50 of these damn things as a kid with autism needing to complete the whole set and having a thing for the aesthetic of the shiny 3D, colourful letters and numbers on the album art with the unique backgrounds. 😂😂
Hard to believe this series has been going since the late '80s. In the US we didn't get this series until the late '90s.
I moved to the UK in 1995 and one of the first CDs I bought was NOW 30. I moved back to the states in 2000 but continued collecting the NOW series until around 2006. I have all in the series from 30 - 63. Good memories.
I've been collecting since i was 13 in 1992 (Now 20 or so). Missed one or two over the years (Woolies and Our Price sold them for £16.99 or so in the 90s, so not cheap!) but they're easy enough to find now for a couple of quid on Amazon / in charity shops, with one or two exceptions that seem to be like hen's teeth and sell for daft money.
I believe the early vinyl releases are now being re-issued on CD, albeit with a few tracks removed as they no longer have the rights to them, back catalogues having changed hands over the years and such.
I lost interest in chart music by around 2012 or so - these days I can count the number of songs I like in any given year on one hand - but this was a nice trip down memory lane - the soundtrack to so holidays, exams, house moves, crushes, Christmases, nights out, friendships, breakups...
They say music is the closest thing we have to a time machine, and it's 100% true. In my case, a way of revisiting happier times and a life well-lived.
I might even start picking up the ones I need to complete my collection (well, up to 100 anyway, I suspect they're pretty much unlistenable after that, not NOW's fault of course given what they have to work with!)
Or maybe I just got old and never noticed 😔
started in 1983,40 years later they still going on with the now music collection,I really thought they end it by now 100,I got 14 more now CD albums to collect to complete the now collection,They all be keept in neat condition,Could be worth quite a bit more in the near future for the whole Now that's what I call music CD collection
love the now compilations and the songs in them
Not so much anymore but I think that's more because the charts are so much more generic and lacking in variety and genuine talent than they were 30-40 years ago (and even up to the mid/late 2000s.) Everything kind of went a bit crap after 2012 or so; I like most genres of music but find I mostly listen to older stuff nowadays and don't bother with the new music stations like Capital and R1. Of course the biggest change has been the format itself - no-one buys CDs anymore, and even mp3s are an endangered species. I for one like to own my music.
@@rich_edwards79 ok
now 1 absolute classic compilation
Now Music is one of the greatest music companies ever!
Liked up to now 77
From now 78 it all started going down for me
Loved the 90's Great Memory's
I was born in late 2003, so I think I remember everything from around 58 or 59 and beyond.
Now that is incredible video
From 1983 To 2018
Omg I loooòoove these cds
best music mashup
Now music helps me to listen to different artists and it my childhood
Isn't it funny how shite they are now? "Massive Number one?" The number ones on the earlier album sold millions more than what the number ones of today do
The higher the numbers went. The more sad i became :(

This took forever to do
It’s quite amusing listening to them all at once. They definitely stuck to the same formula, didn’t they?
Yes, But the music always made me feel chills all the way. Even NOW 100 made me feel old and that feels like it came out yesterday, I felt like my life was spedrun watching this whole video. But i did notice that the higher the numbers went. The more depressed i felt. We really fucked up in the music industry
How is searching these songs on ITunes or Spotify as can not believe how music Involved over the years
These early versions of ones (2013 e.g) are pure nostalgic.
You whippersnapper, you. For me, it's the ones from 1991 / 92 that are nostalgic; i was in high school then. 2013 doesn't seem as though it was five minutes ago 😊
take that's songs were the best!
I like the 80s Now Covers are fab....when they get a bit generic in the 90s they lose something....But at 45 I would be a grump about these kind of things!!
Idk, I'm glad they ditched the pig. (Though there's a story about why he was there, tied up with the name of the series.)
44 here and the 90s issues are the ones I remember, lots of nostalgia watching the ads back :)
Now That's What I Call Music JOJOSIWA

When I first got Now 88, my family was in the car listening to CD1 and number 12 came on and I was like:
IM SO FANCWEE, YOU ALREADY KNOW
I was 4 in 2014, and Fancy (Iggy Azalea ft. Charli XCX) was my fave song
*I'm crying*
I remember now 66 because I was born in 2007
