well mecha should be cause mecha was made for combat and metal is made for speed cause metals chest is just a jet engine
Metal sonic was not just made for speed it was to kill sonic using brain and brawn the race was because metal sonic can use his engines to boost faster then sonic (confirmed) so if he wins he gets you killed cause the lazer one shots

I like how you combined these different mods in a complete story. I wish there was a mod for Sonic 2 Master System remaster replacing Sonic with Metal Sonic, so you could fight Silver Sonic (the robot from Master System version) too.

Sonic 3 A.I.R. is cool but i never played it.
I usually played Sonic 3 & Knuckles game on my laptop. I played it my when I had online school breaks but I couldn't pass the Hydrocity because i got drowned over and over again.
Just take a look how other people clear it maybe u get a nice vision how to continue, i recommend you to download Sonic 3 AIR its much better.
