Sorry that I couldn't watch this vid earlier. I'm on a trip to the United States and it took me over 20 hours to get there! But I'm glad that I finally watched the vid!!
One of the main reasons I like this game so much, is because the melee is so good!! It's such an improvement compared to the first and second game!! Well done with finding them all!! I don't know what my favourite melee move is, but it's still very satisfying to push someone like 2:00 xD
And I really like the close ups in this game when you do a cool combo move lol

After returning to this, I must say, this video is excellent.
0:00 It first starts off with depressing music, which is a pretty damn good decision. As Uncharted 3 isn't just another typical Uncharted game. It has a very deep and emotional story that ties-in with the characters and the gameplay. With the depressing music playing in the background, it reminds me so damn much of Nate's incredible journey throughout this game. Filled with heart-breaks and action. But the music that plays in particular makes it all the more unsettling. I mean, Sully DIES. Well it was a hallucination, but at the time it hit so damn hard because the game built-up his relationship with Nate that makes it all the more daunting and sad... Not to mention that the music plays over toned-down stealth and sly moves, which makes it all the more dark and gritty. Sorta like a Batman-esc thing.
3:08 The 2/3 mark picks me up in a great way. Because, while Uncharted 3 does display some major emotions, it's not just about that. It's also filled with some excellent action! And the music that plays makes me all the more excited and prepared for what's to come. Seeing that the set-pieces in Uncharted 3 were excellent, definitely some of the best the series has to offer. The music heavily reminds me of the other pieces of build-up to the finale, with all the excitement! The music also plays behind some pretty brutal and badass moves, fitting the tone of the music and making me enjoy it all the more.
5:02 The finale of the video also makes me happy. With the sober violin playing behind Nate as he struggles to hold-off against Charlie, trying as hard as possible to keep him calm yet also keep him at-bay and at a distance. Getting appropriate hits on him when he needs to. It's daunting. The fact that Charlie was also such a nice and cool character just made me feel for him all the more. Then we cut to Talbot's fight, and the music changes to a somewhat appropriate tone. With Nate FINALLY beating-down Talbot to a pulp. Which is the number 1 thing I love about Uncharted 3. The build-up and rivalry established behind Nate and Talbot and the satisfying conclusion makes it all the more awesome. With the music playing adequately behind the fight, of Nate fighting a trained mercenary in knife combat. Then you cut to the final music in the entire game, and my God I love it. It's such a beautiful and nice conclusion, seeing that this game ended the series excellently in my opinion, until Uncharted 4's release that is. Also, don't get me started with how well it ties-in with this: 7:10. And with the goofy glitches playing as comedy in the end, very funny to watch. I love it.
Uncharted 3, unfortunately, doesn't really get the respect it deserves, and people don't view it on the level they view it to the other games because Uncharted 3's message is a lot less explicit... But I just don't get the hate behind it. Heck I don't care, I will defend Marlowe and Talbot until the day I die, but that's against the point. This video is excellent. With the music tying-in seemingly with the melee and the pacing of the video is excellent. I love this. 9.9/10.
Holly crap, it's a big essay and it was interesting to read it! So i can write few words too about this. I think that it's truly one of my best videos (and wolfenstein II, xD), i remember that i was working on it in the year when i were in depression and in life dead-end situation. I just didn't know what i will be doing in my life and didn't study at all. So i did love sad music/ambient and always prefer to use something beautiful like these in the beginning, but it hasn't enough duration to cover all video, so i listened all U3 ost and chosed the parts i did enjoy the most and count the time so they can change each other and cover all of it. As someone here says: "it made it sound like one good ost". And yeah this time i was also lucky enough to interweave a glitch part at the end)) (When i was making footage i did find so many fun stuff that i couldn't just delete) . What i want to say that unfortunately it's kinda luck that it's feels good with video, of course i did change it few times to final cut but i'm afraid i can't do something great like that in future (especially i mean those little moments like transit to Tolbot fight, it was just luck). So looking now i'm even more sad about how i was made U4 video. Because it have a great music/potential too... I'm finishing Days Gone video, and have done all footage for TLOU1, so i hope if i will remade it, i will do it good and people will notice that too :) Thanks for your opinion, hope i didn't make a lot of mistakes. As i said english not my first language
@@GeraltRoach Very interesting insight on your development. It's awesome to read this. English wasn't my first language either, I used to speak Portuguese. I bet you could keep your streak going actually, because you've been doing a great job thus far. Don't let fear of disappointment get the better of you, because you're very talented with this stuff. Also, just to make you feel better, my luck is awful. I can't make videos all that often because my family is always using our TV, my school is awful, and I feel like I'm too kind to people to a point where I become a bit too naive at times. We all have flaws, but I tend to focus on the positivity of my talents rather than the negativity, and that's gotten me pretty far in life thus far. I mean, I'm young, so not as far as other people obviously. But with hope and faith, you could achieve so much. Your projects are passion projects. With personality and effort put into it. Heck I used SquareSpace for my 3 videos and it was hard. Very hard. Look at the stuff you've done! You've made 15+ minute long videos! Yet I could barely make 4 minute long videos! You have a talent man. And I consider you gifted. Your life awaits...

And i'm not getting better by knowing that someone feel bad :D You right, be a good person is awesome but some people just don't deserve it, because they can feel and abuse that. Also thanks for admitting efforts and even soul i put in those, but the length depends only on how much melee animations game have. I think the corner stealth takedowns were much better than in Uncharted 4.
Do you know how to initiate each move or are they random? I'm asking cause as many times I've played through this game, I did 3 moves recently that I hadn't seen before. I was like, "man I didn't know he could do that!". :-)

This isn’t really a move or a takedown.. but there’s an animation where a Brute can disarm you. It’s happened to me in that one mission where that building is on fire. I went to fight the Brute and he disarmed me

they can disarm you with a single punch, it's the normal animation, but the weapon you had falls in the floor after it (sorry for my bad English)

Удушение? Помню во второй части оно всегда могло сработать рандомно, правда только в первой миссии, где вы с Гарри крадёте вазу. А вот в третей, вроде как, оно вообще работает только в этом месте по скрипту (Где на Сали и Чарли наставили пистолет, а ты сзади подкрадываешься к охраннику).

@@GeraltRoach if you wanna play a game where pans are REALLY good weapons, get walking dead saints and sinners. they kill walkers with just 6 hits, block bullets, and don';t have that stupid weapon durability mechanic so you can use a single pan forever. (unless you leave it somewhere and exit the level you're in)

Maybe. I prefer more 4 part, because you can make takedowns with your brother and etc. Enemies grab your leg when you throw them out of the cliff and more mini details. Only on side down that they delete envrimoment stuff from uncharted 3. Thanks for watching anyway!
Mainly I miss the ability to press circle to push people around. It was always satisfying to shoot off an armored enemy's helmet and then push them off a cliff.
