I just came here from a clip of interview with Adler, who said that he thinks this get together probably blew his chances of GnR reunion. He was still drinking att this point, and according to him Duff was sober and really pissed at him for drinking and getting sick.

Funny how all the original members get together in small groups but never all of them. Slash plays with Duff and Steve, Duff plays with Steve, Axl plays with Izzy, Izzy plays with Duff and Slash.

I always thought of Matt as the more technical drummer, but Steven had heart and soul and a very distinct style. Both are great in their own right though.
Steven has the more iconic sound by far. But Matt did a great shift in GnR when they needed him (because of Stevie's issues which I'm glad are under control now). Both of them deserve respect.
Steven at the drums provides so much power, such a good vibe, pure rock from the 80s, dirty sound. Gnr made history not only because of Axl abd Slash but also becauae a great crew at the back

Sorum is a fantastic pro drummer and make no mistake, he's technical and precise and seriously heavy. But he belongs with The Cult, as Steven belongs with GN'R.
i don't think it's a big deal, every member from the appetite lineup is out there making great music, i don't really think it matters whether or not they're on a stage together playing old tunes or on their own in a studio making new ones, as long as they're making good music i'm happy
