Thanks for all the content you continue to create! - Happy Exploring - Mack from Canada!
I’m from PDX. I’ve run that trail all the time. I’ve seen so many people waste themselves on punch bowl (lower and upper). Thanks for sharing. You guys are awesome.
This whole being sucked under by the current thing is really making me remember a time, in college. We wanted to go white water rafting, but they were all out of rafts, so we went with the conoes. We were up at warm river, masa falls area in Idaho. Well I ended up being the only person who was capable of climbing up and out to call 911. We had a friend who was seriously injured and had lost a lot of blood, and one missing friend. Everyone survived in the end. But that fast moving water is no joke!
Everyone knows that the video never does justice to the awesomeness of experiencing a place. I can't imagine what it must have been like to be in such a unique and beautiful canyon. Thanks for sharing.
You guys are my daily inspiration. I live in Ohio but have ventured out west a few times. I’ve been to this location, but I can’t wait to move out there and be surrounded by it daily. Lack of adventure here!!
I’ve always appreciated the video, but having just hiked this now that it has reopened, it’s surreal to see how much different this trail and canyon looks from fire damage.
This was my favorite trail before the kid that threw a firecracker and burnt everything up. Havent hiked since its been closed for like 2 years. Everytime I come home in the summer and look it up its closed for some reason. 🤔
@@sarahjohnson1139 Guess I didn't finish my thoughts. The trail has opened briefly before during occasion but everytime that I'M back home it's closed. Thats why I'm wondering why they don't just permanently open the trail back up.
@@1Deejay7 - The trail, the forest, and the entire Columbia Gorge needs to be protected from further erosion caused by visitors. Closing it will give the Gorge time to heal without the damage caused by human impact. It will take a 100 years to get it back to the glory and majesty that it was. but it will take being left alone.
@@moonriseproductions Wrong answer. It means you do not break the law and ignore the "closed trail" signs. If you love the environment and want to see it restored to its prior glory, we all need to go somewhere else and not destroy it even more. If you want to go rock climbing, go where there are are rocks on the ground to walk on so there is little erosion.
@@MediocreAmateur Don't worry, it's still there, the trails just aren't stabilized yet and probably lots of junk in the water. Would be a great way to cap off some volcano skiing when you are ready for round 2.ruclips.net/video/K1iAPRFSRRc/видео.html
Great video!! How long was the rope compared to that last rappel? If you go down on a single strand (with a block) setting it to be the exact length, and keep the rest in the top of a bag it can help a lot to avoid extra length in the water, which is more likely to get stuck. Someone can swim over to the closest shore with the bag to be ready to pull. Also by setting it to be the exact length, much easier to get off just rappel off the end :) no faffing about with rappel device while swimming in the moving water.
Hello, came across your video and would like to start off by saying good job with the content. This may be a silly question, is the punchbowl on the same trail as the tunnel and twister falls?
I'm OK but somebody owes me some new underwear. You guys made virtual reality shows obsolete. Recommending a good counselor probably won't do any good so perhaps you can dial back the fear factor just a tad... I'm almost 73, a little overweight and my ticker can't handle all this excitement. God knows what you left on the cutting room floor so for Pete's sake be careful out there.
Like your channel, but leaving a rope in the river is a seriously bad thing to do - this is a major entrapment and drowning hazard for others. shame on you
For the life of me, I simply cannot understand how you dont have a million subs. Your content is amazing man. Keep going!

Oregon wilderness is in a class of its own, just beautiful!
favored31 I was blown away by Oregon. Can't wait to go back
Don't tell too many people yeah hear.

That drone footage was immaculate.
My favorite trail before the fire, love seeing you guys taking a lot of the trails and mountains that I have done to the next level!!
Revisiting this blog after two years just to remind myself how beautify this really is. Breath of fresh air :D
This is becoming my favorite youtube channel, I am watching all the videos...thanks for going through all the trouble of filming just to share

You guys make the most beautiful videos! I been semi- binging your videos the past couple days, in between the marvel movie series.....
I love this channel! I Love that you guys are finding beauty and adventure on our continent!
You guys need another TV show. But not like 100 Miles to Nowhere, just THIS. It’s perfect as it is. Amazing stuff!!
The drone footage is amazing!
I’ve always appreciated the video, but having just hiked this now that it has reopened, it’s surreal to see how much different this trail and canyon looks from fire damage.
Y'all will try anything. Again, just awesome!
I love your videos, guys! I'll be moving to Oregon soon, and your channel fills my bucket list pretty good!!!
Let us now if you uncover any gems when you get there. That place is awesome.
Love his place. Was me and my wife’s first date hike in 2003. We hiked to tunnel falls and back.
This was my favorite trail before the kid that threw a firecracker and burnt everything up. Havent hiked since its been closed for like 2 years. Everytime I come home in the summer and look it up its closed for some reason. 🤔
that “some reason” is the severe damage the the Eagle Creek Fire caused in 2017.
@@sarahjohnson1139 Guess I didn't finish my thoughts. The trail has opened briefly before during occasion but everytime that I'M back home it's closed. Thats why I'm wondering why they don't just permanently open the trail back up.
89 Alpha mudslides. And the trail is cut out of rock and bridges need rebuilding id assume.
All this means it’s even more extreme to go canyoneering through the burned canyon. Bring extra ropes!

I went and hiked this yesterday and I can’t believe these guys were going through those currents! So sketchy!
Great video by the way! Thanks for sharing
You guy literally should have a show on a network
They did! Check out 100 Miles from Nowhere
It's great that you slow down enough to "Smell the roses" once in awhile.
Crazy beautiful.
This trail is still closed after the Eagle Creek Fire of September 2017. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eagle_Creek_Fire
This is so sick... putting this on my checklist. Wonder how this area looks after the fire.
Pretty bad now. Trail is closed. Lots of burned trees and recent mudslides. Sad.
I think that just means it will be twice as extreme with additional obstacles to overcome. Bring an extra rope

.....Like Utah.
Cool trip! Great video
Great video guys, good job.
Im pretty sure this place burned down later in the year this was filmed. Im glad you were able to see and enjoy Eagle Creek as it was
Yeah. Such a shame this place was phenomenal.

Show your videos to my 92 year old mom, her reoccurring comment is "I hope you never did that" My reply is, " Well I'm here aren't I?"

4:20 Danny thicc indeed. Matches his voice.
Punchbowl. The Gorge is the largest outdoor gym.
1:47 😂😂😂😂
This is crazy

Anyone have repelling experience to retrieve something in Eagle creek by high bridge plz let me know. Will pay.
Something bad happens whenever Blake is along, and it's not even his fault !
The next rappel is the best one….y’all missed out
Love your videos! Is there any chance you have a contact up there who could guide us down Eagle Creek?
Poor rope. Did the drone go in a dry bag? Have you guys seen the new DJI mavic? Looks like that would be a perfect fit for your adventures
Yes. The big green dry bag had the drone in it. Danny has been looking at the Mavic and the new Go Pro Karma
anyone got a link for hiring a guide?
Brian is the man
WHAT A TREAT!
Ok, you lost a rope... But did any equipment break??!?
hey guys, where is the other guy from "100 miles from nowhere" ?
edwin budi p he's doing his own thing nowadays. you can find him on Instagram
so what's all your instagram account?
edwin budi p @matt_galland @dannycbryson @_theblizz
edwin budi p actually it's @theblizz
Thanks guys, you all truly inspired me to do outdoor activities
nothing Mediocre here!
Kids, don't play with fireworks in densely forested wilderness.
Awesome shots. Definitely a good example of how not to do wet canyon rigging. Very poor rope management on your guides part.
Does this actually look fun to anyone?
Nah, I wouldn't want to do this. Especially when Blake mentions the current sucking you down and then later spitting you up. I'm good

Extremely boring to hear a bunch of men talking in the dark.....could not watch much...
Sorry you lacked the attention span to stick it out, the canyon was beautiful and their happiness was contagious.
