- Father Paul Luniw, a Ukrainian Catholic priest and egg artist extraordinaire, presents a free, online introduction to the history and practice of Pysanky. Ukrainian eggs, colorfully and ornately decorated using a beeswax are called Pysanky, deriving from the term “to write.” Father Paul explains the origin and significance of this development, describes the multi-step process of designing and coloring eggs and shares examples of his artwork in many sizes.
