Macrame starter kit: If you are a beginner in macrame, I have a starter kit available. It is a great way to get started as it has everything you need to make several pieces and get you going on your macrame journey. csldesignsshop.com/products/macrame-starter-kit
Amazing!! So well explained! I've been all through RUclips searching for well explained macramé tutorials and this s with out a doubt the best I've come across!! Thank you so much for explaining! I picked it up in seconds!
I just made this one, again, in 1mm black nylon satin, with 4mm gold balls and an ab type crystal solitaire button. It's gorgeous. The first one I made was in royal blue (my favourite colour) with the gold balls and a gold flower button. The first one is the one I sprouted wings on. I got tired of just practicing with the tatting thread and just did the whole tutorial from beginning to end with the royal blue. I had never macrame'd before, other than playing around with jute and some square knots. I love your tutorials. You are so thorough, and I love how you show how to pull the half hitches to get the desired effect. I'm also going to get some more chinese knotting cord and try out the micro-macrame bracelet with the rose theme. I love everything you do. I've learned so much from you. HUGS
Well, you did it again. This is my new favorite. You are AWESOME. You have poetry in your hands. Thank you for showing these patterns in such great detail we can do them. I don't know if my arthritis will let me but when I get some cord I'll be back to try it.
Thank you so much for this pattern!!! I am starting off in learning the more complex side of macrame, and learning the concept of the weaving to make my own patterns and this helps soooooo much!!! 💖
I’m a beginner at Macramé and making jewelry .I’m gonna try to do this it’s really a pretty bracelet. I ordered 4mm round silver beads and got 50 yards red satin cord. Im waiting for my buttons that I ordered to come in mail. I got some black satin shank buttons. Hopefully I’ll do it right crossing fingers.
The rosebud design is really beautiful! Thank you so much for showing us how to do it ... greatly appreciated. I think it would be lovely as a choker as well. 😊
N H I have been using using my heavier tatting thread to practice with this tutorial, and the best part of this video tutorial is that I can stop the video, back it up, and re-watch the way you make the knots. My half hitches aren't coming out exactly like yours so I can pull them out and try again. I'm going to keep trying until I get it right! I really, really love this bracelet, and have been considering ways I can even make it as a trim for the bodice of the Satin dress I'm going to make for my little granddaughter. Awesome tutorial! Thank you!!!
Is soo beautifull. And eassy how you explain. And i don' t speak too much english and i understand very well. Thank you. I think i'll make rwo for my work partners.
Thanks mom to your share your talent like this...I'm from Philippines I worked here in Malaysia at least if I see your making bracelet like this my homesick is going out...sorry about my English because I don't know it is correct my grammar...thanks again mom...have a nice day...and God Bless...👍👍👍😻😻😻
I would like to make this bracelet but I only have 2.5mm satin cord like yours on hand, is that possible or is it going to be huge, and/or do you have a similar pattern for larger cord?? Thanks. Love watching your videos, so satisfying and creative! ❤️👍
I have a question about cord length. What's the formula for figuring out how much cord you need for a project? You said 3 cords of 2.5 m (or 99 inches) for this project. What wrist size would that fit? I make bracelets for my granddaughters who have, for now, very tiny wrists. I need to know how to figure out cord requirements for their size. Thanks and I truly appreciate all the tutorials you provide us. You are quite talented!
Какая умничка и мастерица. Очень красивый браслет, большое спасибо за урок. Но девочки, кто скажет: на каком это языке? Извините за вопрос и удачи мастеру!
D' Gypsy Thank you very much. Not really with this bracelet. It would have to be a different kind of technique and experimented with, but I don't like to say anything is impossible ;-)
Well I just made my first attempt at Macrame .....I can't call it a huge success but I have seen worse lol....I just can"t get that "defined rose" look that you are able to create so naturally and gorgeously. Not quite sure what I'm doing as yet but thank you so much for posting these tutorials........
Hello, This is Gladys. Can you tell me how tp do same bracelet, without the beads? I love to see your tutorial, you are wanderful teacher it is easy to follow your guidance. Thank you so much. Your work is beatiful.
IGI Leon Thank you very much. You could do a few rows of macrame underneath each other to get the cords in the right position for the next rose bud :-)
Hi honey , very very wonderful ,I was expecting this surprising wonderful bracelet .very nice .i call you the queen of jewelry designer .i wish you the best
I really would like to do this lovely bracelet but I would like some sort of adjustable closer. I still plan to lose another 50-60 pounds and I want to be sure it will still fit after I do. When I lost the first 75 pounds my wrist size changed a lot. Is there some way that an adjustable closure could be created?
CSLdesigns ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!! I love this!! I am just now starting to bead, NEVER done Macramé but you make it look so easy!! I am so gonna try to make this beautiful piece!! I have one question if you could help me out? How do you know the proper amount of thread to use per piece and if it comes up to short is there a way to add on or fix it? Thank you so much in advance and Thank You for sharing!! LIKED and SUBSCRIBED!!
Connie Estep Thank you very much. I really appreciate it and thanks for subscribing. It is really mostly a matter of practise, and after doing it for a while you kind of get the feel for how much cord or thread you have to use for a piece. For some designs you can add in more cord or thread, but for most it won't really work, that's why it's always better to overestimate in the first place as it's better that they are too long than too short. I hope that helped :-)
CSLdesigns You are most welcome!! Thank you so much for the information!! I was kinda thinking what you are telling me so with me being new at this I will certainly go more instead of trying to add on like the more advanced do like yourself. Yes it helped me a lot, Thank You again!!!
CSLdesigns Can I ask you 2 last questions, I am so sorry to bother you! I am trying to buy the cord and have noticed a 0.5 and a 1.5 mm, will those sizes work for this project and does it have to be silk? Can it be a nylon or a waxed nylon? Are there any big differences? Thank you so much for your help!!
Have you done any brackets with Tila beads tutorials I've found one that I want to do cause I have all the beads for it but the only tutorial I found doesn't talk English and your tutorial s are so good so I wondered if you done any
Jean Rowe Thank you very much. No I haven't worked with that type of bead before unfortunately, so don't have any tutorials where I use them, but have you looked at The Potomac Bead Company's RUclips channel before? They do a lot of beading with many different types of beads, so I could imagine they would have some designs where they use those beads :-)
Thanks for you very nice tutorials! Made this one in different colours, without beads! Very nice to wear... Have a question for you, how do I calculate how long the cords should be for bracelets, earrings, necklaces...? I want to start working from pictures, but it's difficult to know how long the cords should be... Thx! Elisabeth
Elisabeth Van de Poel You're welcome and thank you. That sounds great. I'm sure there might be some mathematical equation someone would be clever enough to do, but not me lol. It just comes with practice really. The more experience the more you get a 'feel' for how much you'll need, and I also always overestimate rather than underestimate just to be safe. I hope that was helpful :-)
CSLdesigns Get it, experience makes masters... I noticed, (not on your tutorials!), on other turorials, sometimes the cords are to small, so I've taken the habbit on putting at least 20cm more than advaced... Looking forward to your next projects! Love, Elisabeth
Ok so idk if you can answer this but I am trying to make this into a belt for a larp that i do, i am currently using 4mm bonnie craft cord but am not having much luck with this any ideas as to why
Have you seen my 'Basic macrame knots, the next step' video? I go through and show the basic knots slowly, including that knot, so that might be helpful.
Hi I just love all your videos but I am having problems in getting the right length to cut when you say millimeter I try going into the internet to convert from centimeter to inches or millimeter in this video you say 3x2.5 each is this 99 inches for each cord Thank You for being an inspiration to us all
The links are in the description for the UK. I'm in the US so I just went to Amazon and searched for the products. I've also had some success with my local craft stores.

Gorgeous bracelet!! Is there any way to make the rosebuds in alternating colors- like red and black for example? :)
