FYI..... here Martha was but 12 years old, and she was sitting on a tall stool, Lucy was standing, so their faces were close to equal. Lucy was 17.... there is 5 years and 8 months difference in their ages. And having raised 2 girls 4 years apart we learned early on you do NOT compare the girls abilities, they are 2 seperate people and little Martha has the GUTS to sing with lucy who is just so powerful and good, girls are very sensitive at those formative ages, that is why Martha has her Horse Cloud and competes on, and she is a Great rider, Lucy does not ride.Martha can be Martha without competing with her older sister. But yes Martha is a fantastic singer also, they just sang this song live on stage at Lucys concert in March, with Martha and Lucy being 2 1/2 years older, we are waiting for that to be released on video, will be Stunning !!!! Thanks for the react.
Every performance by these young ladies is angelic. They both have amazing purity of tone, perfect vibrato and exude elegance and class. I highly recommend their duet "Mary Did You Know?" It's another fantastic performance which I guarantee you'll love.
Definitely, not the same! Martha is more softer, more sultry, vocals, whereas Lucy is power, but beautiful, musical bliss! Two different vocals blend perfectly! Martha also has that great vocal control, like her big sis', sounds beautiful!

Listening to the younger girl Martha in perfect Italian on her own is almost spiritual and extremely moving. Of course both are awesome - it's just Martha has something very special about her here almost musically Merged with Lucy. One of YTs greatest duets by anyone. Once you have heard this sublime version there is no looking elsewhere. Every time I come back and listen I am equally Overwhelmed and wish to write more praise. You want everyone to realize just how Very beautiful this is.

People have said they mix those vocals together in the studio.They did the same song at the live concert in Manchester. That puts that question to rest.They are that good. Love your reaction. I have been a fan for many years I can tell their voices apart.
Singing for Martha is more an hobby than a way of life.

Nice review of a sister duet so good that superlatives fail to adequately describe what we experience in hearing and watching their performance. Lucy is the best female vocalist on this planet and Martha has equal talent and will be just as good in a few years (she is 5 years 8 months younger than Lucy and was 12 here) if she wishes. They have set the standard by which all performances of "The Prayer" will be compared.

How is the Lucy rabbit hole going.
For those of us who have been listening to Lucy and Martha, I think we can hear the difference between them.
It is only in the last couple of releases that Marth's voice is maturing and approaching that of Lucy.
We don't usually make a comparison because Lucy is almost 6 years older, and we just prefer to enjoy the spectacular harmonies.
Everything they sing together is wonderful.

very true !!! There is no way Martha can make up the age difference, she will always be 5 years and 8 months younger than Lucy, her voice will mature more as it already has time marches to it own beat !!!
Hello WJ! - This is a tremendous way to start my day - Thanks! I believe Lucy had just turned 18 when this was released - Martha was 12!!! (What a performance by a 12 year old - in 2 languages). I do find their voices a little different & I think you will see that as you review more. Part of that may be the age/maturity difference as Martha is so very young here - she has a beautiful tone and voice which is going to continue to develop/change. They really harmonize so well when they sing together - it's truly amazing. Lucy's voice is easy for me to now describe - it's the most beautiful voice in the world 🙂.

These duet is the sister's 'Prayer' both thave perfect excellent voice that there harmonies incredible melodies vocals are purity beautiful perfect vibrato so exquisitely captivating this show powerful of their voices.
Stunning as usual,Lucy & Martha are something else!,both have very fine voices,though Lucy is in a different league so I don't understand you having a job telling them apart,Martha has ambitions away from singing,she it a fine horse rider & participates in equestrian events!,as regards to other songs to view just pick any from the 70 odd u-tube video's released on Lucy's channel,all are sublime,listen to her at 14/15 years of age,she was amazing back then!,Lucy is 20,born on the 24th Feb 2004.😊

They both sing on pitch. Lucy has the more powerful and also smoother vocals. Martha will get there but Lucy has had this when she was younger than Martha is now. Lucy is the better vocalist, but together, they are a dream. Perfect harmonies. And they love each other like best friends and sisters should.
I Agree...You are Certainly Right! Lucy definitely has an edge over Martha...both very solid though.
pickin4you NO need to compare voices as it is not fair to Martha who is so much younger, there is no way she can make up the 5 years and 8 months difference in ages, Martha is developing just as Lucy did, giver her support and encouragement and do NOT be negative towards her !!!
