Exactly! That's a really nice mix of legendary influences!
congrats for discovering this amazing band. they are one of the best metalbands around these days. they combine metal from the old days (iron maiden, judas priest metallica, testament, pantera, megadeath, helloween ...) with modern elements and sometimes classical elements (the dean player miyako is also classical pianoplayer on pro level and their main composer, a musical prodigy). so their sound and technique are unique and has brought them many fans worldwide. they played successful at wacken and other european festivals and were touring with dragonforce. what sets them really apart from almost all other metal bands: their level in composing good music is ridiculous high. you won´t find a bad or mediocre song in their backcatalogue of around 50 songs. also interesting for you maybe: all their albums, Eps and live blurays were mixed and mastered at finnvox/helsinki by mikko karmilla and mika jussila. these women are really serious. and we, their fans (called the wolfpack) are waiting for the presentation of a new bassplayer and album. sorry for writing so much. thank you for your genuine and expertly reaction,

Asami, an R&B/Jazz singer who used to sing backing vocals for a popular rock band, is contacted by a newly formed female metal band and auditions for the band. It was "Love Bites (So Do I)" by the US rock band "Halestorm" that Asami, who had no knowledge of heavy metal, sang on the spot.
The new band got the lead vocalist and band name that day. After that, Asami performed a duet of Love Bites (So Do I) together on Halestorm's stage, and LOVEBITES participated as their support act at Halestorm's Japan tour (2019).
Oh, that's really interesting!
You might be interested to know these ladies have a connection to Finland, despite being a Japanese band. Their sound is mixed and mastered by Mikko Karmila and Mika Jussila (Nightwish, Children of Bodom, Stratovarius) at Finnvox Studios in Helsinki. They do both their studio and live sound mixing.

The winners of the GOLDEN GODS Award in different years and in various categories were such famous bands and musicians,such as : Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Twisted Sister, Ozzy Osbourne, Lemmy Kilmister, Zakk Wylde, Nikki Sixx, Joe Perry, Judas Priest, Anthrax, Slayer, Saxon, Nightwish, Rammstein, Sabaton, Children of Bodom, Arch Enemy (and this is not a complete list).
LOVEBITES is a Japanese female power metal band, formed in 2016 by former Japanese heavy metal band DESTROSE members Miho( bass,backing vocals) and Haruna(drums). The band has successfully performed at various major international rock-festivals many times .In the spring of 2018, LOVEBITES performed on the Japanese leg of the Warped Tour. In August 2018, they performed at Wacken Open Air (Germany), becoming the first Japanese female rock band to perform at the festival. Also in August 2018 they performed on the main stage of Bloodstock Open Air (UK). In 2019, LOVEBITES performed at the Download Festival in both Donington (UK) and Madrid (Spain). Their performance in Donington was named by the festival organizers and Metal Hammer magazine as one of the highlights of the festival! In the same year they performed at the Graspop Metal Meeting (Belgium) and the Summer Sonic Festival (Japan). Unfortunately, the Covid pandemic that began in 2020 prevents LOVEBITES from performing at festivals and forced a drastic reduction of concerts.
LOVEBITES is a phenomenal band, all the ladies are talented musicians! For 5 years they have recorded about 50 songs and all the songs are very good!

🐺Miho started playing bass in high school. Great bass player! The fact that such a wonderful band appeared is, first of all, the merit of Miho. She came up with the idea of starting a band and what kind of music the band would play, a combination of power metal and "old school" heavy metal. Miho was able to find and unite all these talented ladies in LOVEBITES.
🐺Haruna has played drums since she was thirteen years old, and began writing songs on a keyboard at fourteen.
Haruna is the smallest (4 '9 ") , but appearances are deceiving. When Haruna sits down at the drums, this is the "little BIG Engine." She is one of the best drummers in Japan.
🐺Midori (blond hair) has been playing the piano since she was two years old and the electric organ since she was eight. She started studying guitar at the age of 20. Super guitarist, "Crazy Shredder". She surpasses many male guitarists in speed and technique of playing the guitar.
Graduated from ESP / MI JAPAN Osaka , GIT-DX department (superfast guitar department). ESP / MI JAPAN Osaka is an international music school , headquartered in Hollywood, California, USA.
🐺Miyako (black hair) has been playing the piano since the age of three, received a classical education (piano) and wanted to pursue a career as a pianist. She has been playing the guitar since the age of 18. Super guitarist! They call her "The Golden Touch" and she is a real musical genius. Miyako is the main composer of the band, she wrote over 50% of the music.
* In terms of teamwork , synchronization and harmonization of guitars , Midori and Miyako today are perhaps the best pair of guitarists in the world playing metal. One music critic said that two guitarists of this level (Midori and Miyako) in the same band is a crime!😊
🐺Asami started with R&B and soul music . She studied classical ballet for about 16 years (this is noticeable in her movements on stage, especially the movements of her hands). Started ballet lessons at the age of two. After leaving school, Asami lived for some time in the US, where she came to study jazz and hip hop dance. Plays the piano. Asami wrote most of the lyrics of the band's songs.
All songs LOVEBITES are written in English. Unlike other metal bands, LOVEBITES are always on stage in white dresses . White dresses are their style. The Wolf is the mascot of LOVEBITES and is featured on all band's albums except the first EP "The Lovebites". The band's fans call themselves the 🐺Wolfpack🐺

You’ve reached the top, as far as technical ability and consistency of live performance is concerned. These ladies have never failed to deliver. Every one of almost 50 songs is either a classic, an epic or a masterpiece. And every performance of every one of those songs is flawless. They have a song entitled “When Destinies Align” which basically tells us, without being boastful, that what you hear was ordained by fate, hard work and was meant to be. The combination of musical talent you’ve just seen a glimpse of is unequaled in my 62 years on planet earth.
That's a feature that I really appreciate when it comes down to music and also performing it. Having a certain technical ability and consistency whether it's live or studio.
Great review dude. Subs help, a lot hehe. At this speed, every mistake can be heard, But M & M dont make mistakes. Its really impressive what they can do-seperately and together, especially together. I heard that these two have been practicing for hours every day-5 or 6 days a week, for about 3-4 years in Miyakos home studio just to be able to play those harmonized solos perfect. Gotta respect that kind of dedication, patience, talent-everything. And they both started playing guitar at 18 (both are born in 1990). These girls are metal-real deal, gotta love them all...

These ladies are the most consistently tight and flawless Live Metal band I have ever seen (I'm sure you know that being 'tight' at 180+ bpm is F-ing Hard). Oh yeah! That seems to be a really interesting mix (classical piano + electric guitar)! I played classical piano for 10 years before I switched to guitar so that's why it's also really interesting to take a deeper look at that performance!

Kiva että tykkäsit. Itse löysin Lovebitesin tossa pari vuotta sitten ja pidän tämän hetken kovimpana yhtyeenä. Soittaa Powermetallia, Thrashia, Balladeja ja vanhan tyylin "Iron Maiden" heviä. Se mikä tekee Lovebitesista tosi hyvän, on se, että niillä ei ole täytebiisejä. Tulee ihan mieleen vanha Metallica, aikana kun järjestään kaikki kappaleet olivat rautaa. Sellasia bändejä ei juuri ole enää.
Joo, tää oli todella hyvä löytö uuden musiikin suhteen! Kommenttien perusteella vaikuttaa tosiaan siltä, että jokainen kappale vaikuttaisi olevan tehty laadullisesti samalla tasolla, jonka vuoksi ei juurikaan täytebiisejä löydy tuotannosta, joka on todella positiivista.
If you especially enjoy Thrash Metal (my favourite metal subgenre since I heard Metallica's "Fight Fire With Fire" for the first time on the radio in 1984), you will also love "Break the Wall" (already suggested in other comments and one of my overall favourite songs by Lovebites) as well as "The Hammer of Wrath" (preceded by the Intro "The Awakening") - ruclips.net/video/otJZPUCwyOM/видео.html -, "M.D.O." @ I saw you had a PRS... The guitarist of Band-maid (hard-rock) is endorsed by the company. Not the typical shredder, but a true riffmaster who knows to elevate the sound. That the rythm section is world class is also a plus. Would recommend the official video of "Blooming" to get a sense of what they're all about. Then maybe some live stuff, to see them in their right element.

Miyako + Midori are the best guitar duo in 3 decades ! Thanks for this reaction video. All 5 Lovebites women are masters. These Ladies write, compose and arrange their own songs. Almost 50 premium songs in 5 years and not a single weak song. Masters in live playing and geniuses in composing.

@ There are many good guitarists in this world. However, I said I think Miyako and Midori are the best guitar duo (playing together) in many years. I have a few musicians in my circle of acquaintances and know even more in my extended environment. Many of these men praise these women when they see them, but act like they are on par or even better. In reality, however, it's always the case that after an hour of practicing/playing Lovebite's parts of the music it becomes clear: Oh, it's not that easy after all. Then a crate of beer is emptied and then they babble: Yes, 15 years ago we were much better than these women. Most men have a big mouth and even today it is still a problem to be able to admit when women are better or top ...🤣
