My husband and I have been married for 20 years and we have always kept our circle extra small. We have 3 couples whom we keep in our small circle and we all love one another very much. I am glad you got out before drama or before you go broke. It’s good to have a lot of friends but they are for a specific purpose like hiking friends, drinking friends, or fishing friends. You know your place with them and it’s a lot of fun. Don’t expect these people to be there for you when you need them. Have only a few personal friends and that’s all you really need. I am almost a senior citizen now so that’s been my experience.
