    The early church often referred to the church as Mary- being that the church is a womb giving birth to saints. So both/and is possible.

    Does the claim that there were constellations matching the description of the pregnant woman and the dragon at the time of John’s revelation give reason to believe that he was just seeing stars or does this confirm how God revealed Himself through creation?

    I would have to say 'yes', when it was originally written, but as a story of a woman in a future scene, I'm more then inclined to believe there are those among us that could write that story into a womans life for real.

    Who on earth ever claimed that the Blessed Mother did not experience birth pain when delivering the Christ Child?! Please provide an authoritative source. I am a lifelong Catholic and NEVER heard such a statement from any priest, nun, or bishop, nor did I ever see it in any written Church teaching. If Mary was not born with original sin (Immaculate Conception) then Mary could not have experienced birth pain (a curse ushered in by original sin according to the Book of Genesis).

    • @phillipkapler8319
      @phillipkapler8319 4 года назад +2

      @@justiniand6a788 I think this is confusing the particular and the general. The consequences of original sin and concupiscence befell us as a race. It does not follow that because Mary and Jesus were without original sin that they would not experience pain. The suffering Christ endured (likewise conceived immaculate) was for us, not Himself. The Blessed Mother certainly experienced suffering, both at Our Lord's crucifixion and His birth. Suffering is the very currency of salvation. It is also part of merely being human. He or she who is free of sin, still suffers; in fact, suffers the more for it.
      Is this clearer than my original prose ?

      Try the Catechism of the Council of Trent:
      From Eve we are born children of wrath; from Mary we have received Jesus Christ. . . . To Eve it was said: In sorrow shalt thou bring forth children. Mary was exempt from this law, for preserving her virginal integrity inviolate she brought forth Jesus . . . without experiencing, as we have already said, any sense of pain.
      So many Catholics have no idea the stuff they're supposed to believe....

      @phillipkapler8319 4 года назад +1

      @@toomanymarys7355 I am a Catholic who does indeed know "what I am supposed to believe."
      The catechism that you cite is not the current Catechism of the Catholic Church. The passage quoted was not, even at the time, a dogmatic teaching, and not one that Catholics were/are obliged to accept or profess.
      On this particular matter, it seems of little consequence as to which position one holds, but the discussion highlights the dangers inherent in quoting and interpreting Scripture, or Church catechesis, out of context, and too literally. Genesis is TRUE, as Theology, as Ontology, poetically expressed. The point is, suffering befalls us as a race of beings due to sin entering the world. If that point is lost in circular debates about whether Mary experienced the pangs of birth, then the beautiful instruction of the larger point in Genesis has been lost - we would be straining at gnats, and risk swallowing camels. This is the sort of squinting literalism that has spawned 15,000 separate Protestant sects in the last 500 years.
      The logic of this "painless birth" interpretation seems to imply that Simeon was fibbing when he prophesied to Our Lady at the Presentation that a "sword would pierce her soul", or that the Blessed Mother and Joseph were not in anguish when they had to search for 2 days to find Jesus in the Temple, or that the Mother of God looked on in cool, detached, stoic indifference as She watched her Son being tortured and crucified whilst being mocked by the crowd.
      As we are not debating a central tenet of the Creed, it matters not whether one of us is more correct than the other here. Our intentions are what matter in the end : I wish you and yours every blessing from Above.

    Given to me to share by the HOLY SPIRIT.
    Rev. 12:1 was in the heavens on September 23, 2017, on the Feast of Trumpets. Literally, Virgo was bathed in the sun with the moon at her feet and three planets in Leo. This is such a rare alignment, last alignment being in 3973 BC at the fall of Adam. The sign was on the feast of trumpets in 2017. It does not set a date, but it does tell us the season and we are the last generation. HIS Mazzaroth was HIS plan of salvation written in the constellations lost to time. Virgo and Leo are the two constellations full circle from the fall to the Kingdom or Gen. 3:15 to CHRIST seated on HIS throne in the Millennium.

    Rev. 12:2 look at Isa. 66:7 Israel didn't travail when JESUS was born, the woman did travail In holocaust before the Nation of Israel was born May 14th, 1948.
    Rev. 12:3 says to look at the constellation Dragon. The 7 heads are the states that became the Arab League of States. They make a pact with the Nazis in 1939 against the Jewish people aka "woman". The constellation dragon has in its tail Ursa Minor where we get the swastika symbol. Polaris is surrounded by the dragon making it visible both day and night, Rev. 12:10 accusing.
    Rev. 12:4 "And the tail (with swastika) drew (into ghettos and death camps) the one third (6 million) of the stars of heaven (Abraham's seed; Gen. 22:17) and did cast them to the ground (murdered and burned), and the dragon (Arab League of States) stood before the woman (children of Israel) which was ready to be delivered (Isa.66:8) so to devour her child (Newborn Nation of Israel) as soon as it was born (the dragon beast attacked the day Israel was born).
    Rev.12:5 is the Rapture "Harpazo" of the Body of Christ aka the Gentile Church. JESUS was not Harpazo: violently snatched away HE was "eperthe" slowly lifted up in the clouds. Second, JESUS was a man at HIS ascension. We are to be like a child to enter the Kingdom of GOD, hence "man child"; Mat. 18:2-5.
    Rev. 12:6 the 70th week of Daniel begins.
    Rev. 12:7-10 is a war of accusations over the man child. aka just Raptured Body of CHRIST aka Gentile Church; Jude 9. Like Moses was accused with railing accusations so will satan accuse us.
    Rev. 12:11 in Heaven the Testimony of the Blood of CHRIST on the Mercy Seat is presented to satan and he is rebuked by our Testimony confidence in GOD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.
    Rev. 12:12 we rejoice at the Wedding supper of the Lamb dwelling in Heaven. Woe to the inhabitants on the earth satan knows his time is 7 years short.

    That is a spiritual woman in the symbolic means of Bride of Jesus Christ. Think of illustration of what Jesus Christ said about the seeds sown into ground, and water poured over it, the seeds grow into maturity, and a good example is a giant tree in which grows above our heads. The spiritual food. and water is what makes a trained Christian to mature with accurate knowledge that leads to eternal life without end.
    However there is woeful things that can happen to pregnant mom in the physical means on Earth during the last days, thus the Jesus Christ isn't Mary however the spiritually pregnant woman is the likeness of spiritual growth and maturity with our spiritual knowledge, The woman of the Apocalypse is Spiritually Pregnant With The Seed of Life's Hope. Then the spiritual things eventually has a physical effect.
    The Woman of The Apocalypse is described a spiritual woman.

    The book of Revelation was written with allusion. John assumes when you read Revelation, you've already done your homework in studying the Old Testament. Because it's about Israel and you're going to recognize the references throughout Revelation *after* studying the Old Testament. Because after all, the last days are for Israel, not the Church (Daniel 9:24-27)
    If you study the books of Ezekiel, Joel, Zechariah and Daniel, they layout Israel's entire story and in the last days, she goes through the fire of Gods' wrath until she realizes Jesus is their Messiah. Only 1/3 survive it (Zechariah 13:9) Church Age Christians are not appointed to that time of God's wrath (1 Thessalonians 5:9) Jesus rescues his church from that (1 Thessalonians 1:10, Revelation 3:10)
    The woman in Revelation 12 is Israel because she birthed the Messiah. Has zero to do with Mary. The child is of course, Jesus. The Bride of Christ is the church and is never mentioned in the 7-year Tribulation chapters of Revelation 6-19.
    The Bible is to be read and interpreted from a literal standpoint. Anything that is a metaphor or a symbol for something, the Bible will tell you what it's suppose to represent. No guess work on our part if we *study.* When you get into spiritualizing scripture, you're going beyond the plain meaning of a passage in search of a deeper meaning. Spiritualizing scripture or making everything a metaphor leads to not knowing. This only serves to divorce you away from the printed words of God for yourself. It makes you captive to other men's interpretations. It muddles scripture and makes it nebulous. Just take it at face value.
    For example, Revelation 13: 2, 4 and 11 talks about a dragon and how they worshiped him & he spoke. Does that mean a literal dragon? No, because Revelation 12:9 tells us the dragon is Satan. See, no guess work. If a passage is to be interpreted as a parable, it will tell us like Jesus' parables. God Bless!

    Perhaps some will consider this: The Rev 12 Bride is a woman who is married to The Groom who is our Savior. It is Eve, and this is the great mystery of scripture, her return. The first Adam was married to Eve. Jesus/Yeshua is the second Adam who is now again married to his wife, Eve, the second Eve. She plays a part in End Time events AND Satan is once again after her like he was in Eden. She and her husband have a male child not of the flesh (neither Adam or Eve or Jesus were born of the flesh in the same manner as the rest of us) who is caught up to heaven. Then Satan goes after this male child in Heaven and actually starts a war there. Satan has been trying to destroy this male child who is not Jesus (and the abortion issue and rate is his attempt to prevent this birth, which can't be done), Jesus is the father of this male-child who will rule the New Heavens and Earth with a rod of iron just like His Father, Jesus, will be ruling with a rod of iron again here on this Earth. But woe to the Earth for very soon the devil is coming down to you cause he is going to lose the war in Heaven and gets kicked out. All of Heaven will protect and defend this new Monarch. Y'all better be getting to repenting..... To those whom God reveals this truth to, please make it go viral, the time is short, Eve will need our help. Please pray pray pray for her. Her husband will be coming to take her, but until then, pray. She will need to be hidden and protected once revealed on Earth when the devil comes down. Those of you Torah observant Christian (remnant) better read this chapter again and again and then prepare yourselves. Now. Today.
