Everything was perfect, my husband the camera man loved the crisps and the thrills so good. We had a great time, you have a few videos posted I could do I reaction if you would like :)
So glad you are enjoying our "Canuckian" snacks. Childhood memories! You need to try Canadian ketchup flavoured chips. Thanks for sharing your experiences!
I'm not surprised those cookies didn't last, they are insane. Maple cookie with the cream, holy crap. I try not to even buy these because I know I'll just crush a box to myself within 2 days.
I’m so glad you love the Thrills! I also love them! The “soap” flavour is rose, so if you like floral sweets, Thrills are for you! I also love floral gums and Parma Violets from the UK! Yum!
Just loved the look on your face with the All Dressed chips, they take a bit of getting used to especially if you have never tasted them before and don't know what to expect. I also love the Thrills reaction I grew up chewing that gum and still love it now.
The hickory is the flavor you are tasting in the potato sticks. My favorite is the Coffee crisp bar but I like most of these. It was fun watching your reaction. I laughed when you showed the empty maple cookie box. That is why I stopped buying them.
Chip flavours vary greatly brand to brand 'Old Dutch' is the long standing brand for 70+ years. "Pringles' 30+ years and "Lay's' 20+ years, all different taste, all great.
From Canada but now in Australia, I definitely miss Coffee Crisp and I also miss the Skor, and Wunderbar chocolates. I also miss the O'Henry bar that you didn't have a chance to try in this video. Really fun to see what an Aussie thinks of Canadian snacks. Enjoyed your reaction. I must admit...I really don't like Thrills gum LOL
Oh joy! Someone who likes Thrills. I was just waiting for your reactions. I’ve seen a few Americans try them and be completely grossed out lol. Definitely one of my favourite gums especially as a kid.
For Aussies: Caramilk is like Caramello with better quality, smoother caramel. Not to be confused with the recently introduced, and very different Aussie version of Caramilk (a mixture of white chocolate and caramel into a solid block). Hickory sticks taste like hickory smoke (popular for BBQs) -- one of my favourites.
I enjoyed watching you both try things I'm used to having. My favourite is coffee crisp. I was surprised you liked the thrills gum. Many who try it don't like it but the gum is very popular in Canada. You have a lovely family Tash. Thanks for the reaction taste test.
Was not expecting that reaction to the Thrills gum, I love it and it reminds me of my dad as he always used to give us that gum when we were young and it'll always stick with me. I never imagined the Crunchie to exist anywhere else but I guess it's still rare enough for us to think it isn't available elsewhere. Oh and I don't blame you for making quick work of those maple cookies, they're so good!
Thrills were popular because they were CHEAP! They were about half the price of other brands of gum you could buy at the variety store. At the time, I believe, you got 15 pieces for ten cents. It's hard to remember though, it was almost 50 years ago.
The thing to do with the Skor bars, is to smash them up and sprinkle over a plate spread with cream cheese with a layer of caramel spread, then to cut up your favourite apple into slices and use the apple to scoop up the Skor dip. Good combo. Coffee Crisp is probably the best selling chocolate bar in Canada, and their famous slogan is "How do you like your coffee?" to which the answer is "Crisp!" ha ha ha. I am surprised you like the Thrills as most Canadians do not, in my experience. I think they taste like potpourri smells, but they are found everywhere. Cadbury, is probably the best chocolate brand in Canada, but Nestle, is probably a close second. The All Dressed chips are very popular here, but they should have sent you some Ketchup chips, or Ketchup Doritos, which are also a very Canadian thing, and the best flavour of chip alongside Dill pickle in my opinion. Glad you like our Canadian snacks. I enjoyed your video, cheers. A Southern Ontario, Canada resident.
The only time I've ever seen someone try Thrills is on videos like these. In Canada, we have ice-cream mixed with popular chocolate bars. Coffee Crisp ice-cream, Scor ice-cream, etc. You still need to try Ketchup chips, Crispy Crunch chocolate bars, Hawkins cheezies, butter tarts, Nanaimo bars, OMGs, and peanut butter cookies.
Coffee Crisp is my favourite go-to chocolate bar. Love 'em. I gotta say, though, Tash I could pretty much read how you felt about each particular treat from the look on your face as you tried them. I'm thinking that you should never play poker. Your expression would give your hand away every time. 😁
Ha ha ha! That was fun! Personally, I don't like Mr Big, I prefer Oh Henry. Cadbury was originally a UK company, some of our stores have a section of British Cadbury bars. My favourite is Curly Wurly. Cheers!
Missing from this snack package: ketchup chips, Hawkins Cheezies, Aero bar, Smarties (originally from the UK, ours are slightly different), MacIntosh toffee, Mr. Big bar. A Nanaimo bar kit that you can prepare those bars from would be nice of someone to send. Plus a jug of maple syrup and other real maple products. If you love the maple creme cookies, maybe you could arrange for a viewer to ship you more cookies, perhaps a selection of different brands, for comparison.
@@awayfromhome54 Ohhh Crispy Crunch is so good. Very very crunchy with shards and splinters (in a good way!) of peanut butter toffee covered in chocolate.

I always have an EatMore in my bag for when I'm starving at work and can't wait till lunch. They're awesome. Soft chocolatey stretchy goo chock full of peanut pieces.
As to whether this is the origin or not I can not say. However, a long time ago when I was even younger than Brice. We use to have Hostess chips. Or at least they were the leading brand until Ruffles/Lays came along. Anyway. Every once in awhile we use to get one chip. Just one. Usually quite small. That you can tell had somehow been exposed to every flavour they had made in the plant. My cousin and I use to look for it like it was lost treasure. Years later. They came out with All dressed chips. As for the Thrills gum. I think you are the first person on RUclips who has ever liked it. Great reaction video! I didn't know that Thrills gum was a Canadian thing. I wish we could send you some authentic poutine, but somehow I don't think it would ship very well 😆
In NL we are a testing ground for "junk food" 😳 So I have in my cabinet Ketchup, Salt n vinegar and regular Hickory Stix. My weakness is Skor and EatMore bars. Have a recipe for homemade EatMore bars. I hate hate haaaaattte Thrills.. I can not believe you even tried those and LIKE EM! Musk is popular here, but instead of Deer 🦌 glands, the musk is harvested from Moose. (NO Deer, raccoons, elk porcupine or skunks on the island) Thrills.... I'm shocked... lol
I knew you'd love the Coffee Crisp but I fell off the couch when you said Thrills were better! I did NOT see that coming. Hickory sticks -- I think it's like vegemite, you have to grow up with the flavour to enjoy it. It was so hilarious when your son said (about the Crunchie) "It's just the same as a normal country." 😄
You went with Thrills? My mind is blown! I really want to visit Oz but if that's your tastebuds? YOIKES! Also I would not mind a Hugh Jackman and Chris Hemsworth sandwich.
by the way. Pineapple on ham pizza, the 'Hawaiian ', a Canadian invention spurs much debate here. Many people are loudly outraged by fruit on pizza. It's a decades long running inside joke argument here. However the non-fruit faction are serious believers. Luckily they are in the minority. We stone them with balls of pizza dough. "The Great Canadian Hawaiian Pizza Civil War". Remains unresolved.
I love Thrills and Coffee Crisp. Hickory Stix are a bit of an acquired taste but I hate all dressed and ketchup chips, both of which are popular in Canada. Maple cookies are great with a hot cup of milky tea, one of my comfort foods. Glad you were able to try some of our home favourites.
Love your reactions! Love thrills too! So shocked and happy you liked them! You are such a daily dose of delight!!!! 💞 Thank you and much love from Calgary, Alberta 💞
I still love Thrill’s gum & I’m 68 years old & have loved them since I was a teenager at least & Coffee Crisp is my favourite chocolate bar & I also love Mr Big which was my favourite in high school😂 All dressed chips are a little strong for me, but Hickory Sticks are good as long as you don’t eat too many at once & they do take time to get used too😁
I so miss Cherry Ripe, Nobby’s Nuts, Peppermint Crisp, Sao Biscuits. We get very little of Darrell Lea Licorice here in Edmonton Alberta. I have even noticed some Violet Crumble in one of the shops.
There is a store in Toronto called "Dank Mart" and they sell goodies from all over the world. They have $10.00 flat rate shipping anywhere in Canada. They may be able to help you out, or even know of somewhere closer to home for you that sells those. EDIT: I just noticed that they now have a couple of locations in Vancouver. Good luck! :)
@@Shamacanada Thank you for the info! It actually took me to another site, "Candy Funhouse". I'll be sure to send you my dental bill, lol. Thanks again!👍😃👍
I remember when the Wunderbar came out - I was in Jr high School [that's grades 7-9] in the early 70s and for a while it was my favorite bar, but coffee crisp is my main bar with bounty bar being my alternative [that's coconut and chocolate]
Hahaha! This was fun, I gotta say Hickory Sticks are one of my favs, I love the hickory Smokey taste, so addictive, eat them all the time. The Wonder bar is another fav too! I love all dressed as well but I like our brand Old Dutch ripple all dressed chips better. better. 👍
Love the reaction. And your wonderbar did not get smooshed in transit lol I have never bought a wonderbar that is not smooshed and the caramel is always seeping out into the wrapper and it's a sticky delicious mess lol
Coffee Crisp is the best and I love Wunderbar too. Maple cookies are awesome. That person should have send you some Rockets (small tart candies in a roll); they're known as Smarties in the US. We have Smarties in Canada as well but they are different.
My favorite Coffee Crisp TV ad featured two old ladies of seemingly Eastern European descent (based on the accents), as they are sitting down playing cards and shooting the breeze... and the host asks, So...?" "So?" "...How do you like your coffee?" "Crisp..." "You like your coffee _CRISP?!"_ , the first lady says, with a puzzled look. "Yes, I like my Coffee Crisp!", she exclaimed, while raising the candy-bar to show her friend what she's talking about. "Ah! ...I'm supposed to laugh, now? Oye, ...you don't know from Jokes!" (or something like that...) ... it was very cute! ;-] Here's a RUclips link to an off-the-screen copy: ruclips.net/video/gtOgbgqbhFg/видео.html "I Like My Coffee Crisp Old Ladies (1991)" (30 sec. Coffee Crisp Commercial)
I like the part where the lady says "You're no Jane Rivers!" (Aussie Tash, we used to have a very funny female comedian named Joan Rivers, and that's what this lady's comment is referring to.)
Great reactions, Tash. I felt badly for you as you bravely ate the hickory sticks. I’m not a fan of those or of the all dressed chips. I’m happy to say there are lots more Canadian treats. Smarties, Kit Kat bars, Crispy Crunch bar, ketchup chips. We also Reese’s Peanut Butter cups. I think the ones we get here in Canada are the same as the ones in the US.
The way that Thrills gum tastes depends a lot on what types of taste receptors you have. To me it takes like soap, as does cilantro. I also find cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, kale, bok choy, collard greens, Brussells sprouts, and any other form of cabbage) taste very bitter.
Your First reaction to Thrills is off the wall. Thrills are an acquired taste to understate it. It must have something to do with the Earth's spin or something cosmic.
I am Canadian, and I haven't tried "Thrills", so I don't know how to respond to your enthusiastic endorsement. Hickory Sticks are a favourite of mine. Coffee Crisp is a good representative of our candy bars.
WHERE ARE THE KETCHUP CHIPS?? lol. I’m surprised they didn’t send you ‘ketchup’ chips. You definitely need to try those. Also, we have these maple flavoured sugar candies (kind of have the consistency of a hard fudge). They aren’t as popular in regular corner (convenience) stores, but most supermarkets and every tourist store has them. Since you liked the cookies, you most likely will like them (they are very sweet too). Cheers!
Hello Tash greetings to you and your family glad you enjoyed the snacks from Canada ! i was curious about how you would like the hickory stix and the ruffles they are an acquired taste and judging from the look on your face you havent acquired that taste no worries though either have i. The maple cookies dont last long around our place either especially when our son drops by and finds them as far as the candy bars go coffee crisp is my favorite also but the rest not a huge fan when our kids were small they would have piles of candy bars from halloween . Glad you enjoyed snacks from Canada so from your fans in Alberta take care and stay safe. Oh by the way i seen a rock formation in Australia called the Devils Marbles do you know about these?
Coffee Crisp & Wunderbar are amazing. I haven't had Thrills in probably 40 years, they used to lose their flavour way too fast. I've never been a fan of all dressed chips. Too much going on for my taste.
Caramilk is a big fave! Wunderbar, not so much. Hickory sticks are fine in small portions. Hard to eat a whole bag. Yes, we do have Snickers. I prefer plain Ruffles. All dressed is not for chip beginners. Try Ketchup chips!
As a Canadian I can agree Coffee Crisp is the best.

You should try some Ketchup chips if you ever get the chance. You may want to try some Rockets as well which are called Smarties in the States.
Interesting enough we have a candy in Canada called Smarties.
we have smarties too, love them lol
Great reaction video! I didn't know that Thrills gum was a Canadian thing. I wish we could send you some authentic poutine, but somehow I don't think it would ship very well 😆
Many people don't like Thrills, but many more do. There's a reason they've been making them for 60 plus years.
In NL we are a testing ground for "junk food" 😳
So I have in my cabinet Ketchup, Salt n vinegar and regular Hickory Stix.
(NO Deer, raccoons, elk porcupine or skunks on the island)
Thrills....
I get that, vegemite is a very unique taste lol
@Aussietash I need to send some ketchup chips and an Eatmore bar, and some other things
Its not necessary but if you have the means then please do :)
I get to love watching you and your son eat these . I can’t I am diabetic but I can watch you guys . ❤
You went with Thrills? My mind is blown!
I really want to visit Oz but if that's your tastebuds? YOIKES!
Also I would not mind a Hugh Jackman and Chris Hemsworth sandwich.
Coffee Crisps is my favourite too.
So funny, because tomato is a fruit, and that’s ok? Some people are weird. Ham and pineapple 🍍 is the BEST!
its the same here mate. I personally love pineapple on pizza it is the best :)
I think the sniff test is everywhere 😂 👍
I love the phrase "the sniff test" lol
I love Thrills and Coffee Crisp. Hickory Stix are a bit of an acquired taste but I hate all dressed and ketchup chips, both of which are popular in Canada. Maple cookies are great with a hot cup of milky tea, one of my comfort foods. Glad you were able to try some of our home favourites.
I’m surprised you did not get KETCHUP POTATO CHIPS TO TRY
Love your reactions! Love thrills too! So shocked and happy you liked them! You are such a daily dose of delight!!!! 💞 Thank you and much love from Calgary, Alberta 💞
Doesn't like Hickory sticks. Loves Thrills. Australia is such a odd place. :)
Especially the 'Thrills'. Never seen anybody take to them right off.
Too Right lol
Your son is as cute as you. Cheers!
😊 thank you
I still love Thrill’s gum & I’m 68 years old & have loved them since I was a teenager at least & Coffee Crisp is my favourite chocolate bar & I also love Mr Big which was my favourite in high school😂 All dressed chips are a little strong for me, but Hickory Sticks are good as long as you don’t eat too many at once & they do take time to get used too😁
Hi pretty lady. How are you doing today? And how is the weather over there and that of your family??
We do have Snickers, but we don't have Picnic
Good luck! :)
Cherry Ripes are my favourite, I should send you some
They brought back Rum n Butter bars and Cuban Lunches from Candy nostalgia co. out of Camrose
@@Shamacanada Thank you for the info! It actually took me to another site, "Candy Funhouse". I'll be sure to send you my dental bill, lol. Thanks again!👍😃👍
All chocolate bars are best eaten cold Tash! We are from Canada after all! Buy, refrigerate for 4 hours, enjoy and repeat!😀🇨🇦❤️
I remember when the Wunderbar came out - I was in Jr high School [that's grades 7-9] in the early 70s and for a while it was my favorite bar, but coffee crisp is my main bar with bounty bar being my alternative [that's coconut and chocolate]
The thrills 😵 so gross. My friend growing up liked them so he got all mine from Halloween. Lol coffee crisp caramilk and Resses PB cups.
Trying the Hickory Sticks right after a chocolate bar probably wasn't the best taste test :)
Girl, you shouldn't lie to save your life! I'm not a fan of the hickory sticks, either. 😆
Ketchup chips would of been good too! 😂
Oh and Caramilk is my favorite choco bar 😉
Hi pretty lady. How are you doing today? And how is the weather over there and that of your family??
Another great video! Do you guys have the regular original Ruffles in Australia or this was just a new flavor they sent you?
no we don't have Ruffles here, we have Smiths a similar Crisps
Hahaha! This was fun, I gotta say Hickory Sticks are one of my favs, I love the hickory Smokey taste, so addictive, eat them all the time. The Wonder bar is another fav too! I love all dressed as well but I like our brand Old Dutch ripple all dressed chips better. better. 👍
Glad you enjoyed!
Hickory sticks after chocolate lol... Try them with your toasted bacon and tomato sandwich!
'Thrills' is an acquired taste and it does not become acquired quickly.
Marz Bars, chocolate and caramel, rich.
Thrills are the best soap you ever ate. Used to put a whole pack in to get the flavor.
Coffee Crisp is the only coffee I like lol... and kids definitely eat them, they come in our halloween candy :D
The Coffee Crisp ad goes like this, how do you like your Coffee, I like my coffee crisp.
My favorite Coffee Crisp TV ad featured two old ladies of seemingly Eastern European descent (based on the accents), as they are sitting down playing cards and shooting the breeze... and the host asks,
So...?"
"So?"
"...How do you like your coffee?"
"Crisp..."
"You like your coffee _CRISP?!"_ , the first lady says, with a puzzled look.
"Yes, I like my Coffee Crisp!", she exclaimed, while raising the candy-bar to show her friend what she's talking about.
"Ah! ...I'm supposed to laugh, now? Oye, ...you don't know from Jokes!" (or something like that...)
... it was very cute! ;-]

"I Like My Coffee Crisp Old Ladies (1991)" (30 sec. Coffee Crisp Commercial)
Beautiful clip :)
I think the OH Henry bar is better than either Mr Big or Wunderbar.
Y’all made me hungry! Going to the Dollarama for snacks lol
Cheers!
Shipping costs from Alberta to Queensland is redonk, I packed as much as I could , sorry.
@@BrokeheadFred all good, at least she got to sample some of the unique snacks we have to offer in Canada 🙂
Devils Marbles, will look it up. Wow they are cool in Alice Springs :)
@@aussietashreacts Thanks for looking that up i didnt know where that was located very cool!
Coffee Crisp & Wunderbar are amazing. I haven't had Thrills in probably 40 years, they used to lose their flavour way too fast. I've never been a fan of all dressed chips. Too much going on for my taste.
Why Soap flavoured gum? Maybe we were just trying to immunize ourselves so we could swear without fear! lol
Caramilk is a big fave! Wunderbar, not so much. Hickory sticks are fine in small portions. Hard to eat a whole bag. Yes, we do have Snickers. I prefer plain Ruffles. All dressed is not for chip beginners. Try Ketchup chips!
When I buy Hickory Sticks I can't NOT eat the whole bag. 😄
Good to know!
Now we need to send Buckley’s for them to try!🤒🤒
Hi pretty lady. How are you doing today? And how is the weather over there and that of your family??
all good mate, hot and humid in Queensland, hope you are well :)
