At 74 I will not get a kitten. A cat attached himself to me 3 years ago at the bay where I walk. Long story. He is adorable, 22 lbs, probably 6 years old. I help local shelter.
Brought home 17 year old last summer, now 18. Dumped. Adorable. Sweet old man. You can see the gratefulness on his face. Brought home a 15 year old last month. She is sweet. They all just want love. 0:06

Remember Lil Bub? She had a very busy life. Did a lot of work for charity, had celebraty friends, made music. Gently passed away in her Dad's arms. A full life, and much loved.
