    I'm a huge fan of soft beads with salmon egg super gel under a float.
    You can adjust the size and colors to match water conditions and you can use one bead all day.
    I've been on of the few walking out with fish in low clear conditions since I'm able to drop down to size 4,2 hooks and 10mm beads.

    How long will these fish enter the system? Is it over in September or do they still run fresh into October?

    • @DayOneOutdoors
      @DayOneOutdoors  2 года назад +1

      This was filmed last October! So it is just getting going and should be good for the next 4-6 weeks in most coastal rivers!

    It’s very interesting how the guide says those coho with adipose fins are “hatchery fish”.. Seems to be the same fish I have to release….do they become “hatchery fish” only become hatchery once they enter the desired waterway??? All fish should be managed the same as well as the handling rules. Great video. But should be the same for everybody…..just saying.

    • @DayOneOutdoors

      This is a coastal stream that is managed by the tribes. That being said, as a guide on the Columbia, we see plenty of un-clipped fish with Coded Wire tags, meaning they are of hatchery origin. Very frustrating during a mark select only fishery. That being said...the tribes are putting in more fish than the states because they don't need to play by the ESA rules. So, I guess we take the good with the bad.
