I have this . Do not buy it. Battery holds less than 2 weeks , motion detection is sht, it starts recording after 4-5 sec after someone passes by and will record only it the camera wants to. If someone comes to your door, by the time the person triggers the camera, he is way off camera range and you will not see nothing. Customer service is so bad, they trying to find all sorts of excuses rather than fix the issue. I know I'm not the only one complaining about this and they are aware that the camera is crap . I bought a cheaper 20£ one and plan to use that . This one going straight to the bin . Got my car scratched 5 times , and at no time the camera recorded. I had read all the bad reviews and decided to buy one anyways . Should had listened to others.

are they kidding? i mean i would not really expose them to harshest weathers, but some rain ?!?! i currently have my indoor 360 2k cam pointed at my yard with a small weather protection from above and its pretty windstill at the place i put the cam. It survived everything right now, without problems so far. i thought about buying these outdoor cams here, but if they dont even survive normal weather conditions thats a big NO

Hello, I'm going to put the camera on the balcony, I don't want the camera to move with the movement of the tree leaves, the movement of the balcony curtain, I only want to be triggered by the movement of live objects (human, animal) and record live to my NAS in my local network, is it possible with this camera? Note: I'm currently using an "indoor mi 360 1080p" camera that I bought 2 years ago, unfortunately I can't distinguish between "triggered and record only in human motion" as I explained above, it records to the NAS even at the lowest sensitivity setting, even if the leaf moves. Can I do what I want with this camera?
The camera don't detect animals, only persons and changes in environment but that is all don't have Nas compatibility as the other Xiaomi cameras for indoor usage I think since it's made by other manufacturer
The ethernet port is only for confuguration of the reciever? You must have wifi network for it to work? You cannot conect this reciever to internet throug a ethernet port?
No it's not compatible with apple homekit, almost everything of Xiaomi is not homekit friendly at all since it's the global version of the Chinese original product but another firmware and compatibility to Xiaomi mi home instead of mijia

It works to see real time but beware, this camera movement detection is crap. If someone triggers the detection, camera has a lag, and by the time it starts to record, that is if it feels like recording, the thief , mailman etc , would long be gone . There are a lot less expensive cameras with better specs and even free cloud recording.

I mounted and setup myself and got a second one to swap that shitty xiaomi one. I also run a ring camera but I don't like the fact you have to pay a subscription if you want recording, while the other doesent. I am planing to change the ring camera also . Any suggestions are welcomed as i want to replace the xiaomi and ring.

The battery doesn't last 90 days not even 2 weeks just 1 week as much, also don't record continuously only when people pass, changes detected or is moved and does a small video of only 15 second as maximum , also does use the cloud to storage those small chunks of video although has a micro SD card slot and does also record straight to the card those small chunks of videos but does of not ordered way so will have to deal with a lot of folders without chronological order at all and in the app doesn't allow check those videos from the card at all

When I want to watch in real time video it "loading" to much time and then show me a picture video on my smarthpoone but with "stops" in video...dont know why ? maybe Xiaomi fix that bug with update ??
does somebody know, if it would be possible to connect a cable to the camera and have it powered by a small powerblock to get rid of the need to recharge it. I will be able to lay some cable and even have the cam protected from serious weather. i also have a Mi 360 indoor cam, planted at a good location with a small weather protection outside and it works really well. currently i am fearing, that the cam wont survive the winter outside and will stop working in minus temperatures - these outdoor cams seems suitable and i could stay in the mi eco-system for the survailance

@Carmela Saliba Rickard hey carmela, i sent it to the xiaomi store for them to look at and they told me it had been damaged from using a fast charger. They repaired it and it works great now. Hope this helps
