My Saviour and Shepherd

1 I have a Saviour Who guides me on my way,
Either through sunshine or shadow day by day;
When trials come to annoy me, He is near;
When I am weak then His shelter I seek
And I do not fear.

Morning or evening,
I’m conscious that Jesus is near;
Springtime or Autumn,
I travel with Him without fear.
Nighttime or daytime
I know that His love will enfold me;
Through the deep or up mountain steep,
He will hold me.
2 Jesus to me is a Shepherd, He knows me
Though I forget Him and wander, He finds me.
When I am care worn and weary, dark my way
Jesus draws near to give comfort and cheer
Thru every day. CHORUS
3 He is my Pilot and guides me safely home,
He is the One Who reminds me, if I roam.
I would not journey without Him, through life’s maze.
I would not grieve Him, but ev’ry day please Him in all my ways. CHORUS
