@@IneptCardCollector thanks! I do enjoy opening, my wife, daughter and I have almost turned it into a ritual haha we sit around the table at the end of the night and open and play a few games. All started when I got one pack for my daughter and she pulled a the best obsidian flames charizard and we all freaked out. But I have come to see that the pull rate isn't as good as I thought, we got lucky at first but no big hits as of late. I may start buying less to open and more to put away sealed. Not to mention my addiction is spoiling my daughter and I don't want that hahah
I have defiantly slowed on openings to reallocate the funds to spoil my kids. I love the ritual of opening together though. My wife would call me stupid and make me clean the gutters if I suggested we open card together lol. I opened 2 booster boxes worth of Obsidian and never pulled any of the Charizard cards. There was some good luck in your opening!
The market is not slipping. Summer is historically lower in the market. The market fluctuates as new sets are announced, the season, and the what is winning/losing at tournaments. Keep these things in mind when talking about the market falling. No one can predict the market, hence why it's called investing. Buying product sealed for collecting and investing later take more than 3 months to attribute value long term.
I agree with everything you have pointed out. I guess I see recent dips as an opportunity for people to consider adding to their investment, collection, or opening these products. I come at this similar to a precious metal investment. Generally speaking, there is a slow climb over time and the market usually corrects itself. Silver in 2011 was a hard one to swallow for those who bought in. Seeing these dips can be the chance to buy on the downhill but these will almost all be up over time.

Usually feels like they're releasing things too quickly but this gap between Twilight and shrouded has the song wanting more.
The pre-order hype for the zard upc was insane people thought they were going to miss out then 6 months later they were still sitting on shelves.
I worry we may see something similar with the newest UPC coming out about the time of Stellar Crown. MSRP is going to make a jump; I think that will freak people out and there's going to be a bunch of pre-orders in the wrong price bracket. We'll see though.

That Charizard paldean fates tin is what got me back into collecting. I got a shiny flittle, a shiny not sleeping in bubble Mew, and gold Koraidon. I was beyond happy that shiny pulls aren't the same as the shiny rate odds are in the games.
Wow that's a great tin! Yeah, there are good odds on these shiny sets. Hard set to master but lots of great cards!
@VRule1 is a master set worth having? As a kid, I would only keep the Mons I liked and any holo. The full art and special illustration art stuff are completely new to me but I'm keeping the stuff I like.
It really depends. The sets are so large they are hard to master. I would rather put money into illustration rare and special illustration rares but there are a few sets that I would like to master like 151 or crown zenith.
@VRule1 sets being too big along with many trainers and Pokémon that I don't like was my thought on it. I'll mention lost origin here I saw someone open a pack and liked the Pikachu that they got, but when I opened an etb and looked at the book, only four cards from the set had me feeling like I wanted them. Fortunately, I pulled two of the cards I wanted out of it. That Gengar at the campfire and the Crobat with Silver next to him. Pikachu with the ancient Dawn look a like and the Charizard with Leon are the only two other cards I really liked out of the set and not expensive at all. To me, those four cards would be the master set in my eyes. Thanks for the response man, no one else I've been asking this kind of stuff to has replied to me. I think I'll keep with you till video games drag me back.

@@sotorc1448 I also watch pokebeard. When it comes to market watching, it's good to find as many resources as possible. I don't have the time myself to track everything, but I can put in the time to watch multiple people who put forward the effort.
Found a handful of those Charizard tins locally and snagged them just in case.
Oh for sure! At MSRP it is a great pickup. In my opinion, these chaizard tins will be the best sealed product from paldean fates over the long term.

I love when things slip when I want to buy and I love to see them grow when I'm holding them. Rarely does it work out so well but refining the collection continues to improve my Pokefolio.
I had to cancel my order of Chilling Reign ETBs 2 weeks ago that were $32 per... They are already $60 on amazon I feel stupid
No need to feel stupid. The market is hard to predict and we have all missed good opportunities. Also, we have all bet on the wrong items too. Like anything else the more you do it the easier it gets.
Nah, you're good! Great thing about Pokemon is if you miss a big set that pops off, there's always others to focus on.
I think the new Rocket set will be the next big chase.
I'm big on the gold cards, sometimes. I mainly scoop up the big ones like Mew, Charizard, Pikachu, Giratina etc

Good catch. Yeah, these have confused me a bit. A single case should hold 10 I think the tcgplayer is just a lot of 25. I could be wrong. Tcgplayer.com is not my go-to for big-ticket items like this. I will do more research on this. Thanks for the heads up!

I hope it is a big re-print. Shrouded fable looks like a pass for so many people. Pokemon could capitalize on a large 151 reprint.
Pokémon shouldn't be able to cancel the Pre-order when they receive payment unless there was a problem with their inventory or print quality who knows but still.

Yeah that cancelation was the first and only time that had happened to me. Then the whole Van Gogh Pikachu promo debacle. Hope Pokemon works to not repeat these mistakes going forward.
Where in the world do you get $19 per booster bundle box? There are 10 boxes per display and 60 in the whole case. 3200/60 = 53.33/box
