In regards to the random drug test .. that happens in all industries in New Zealand. There will always be people who fail them. I say good job on NZTA's behalf for having drug tests in the first place. But yeh after watching this i do agree its a bit of a waste of money
Same thing happened on Kapiti Coast, instead of upgrading existing highway, they put a new expressway through old dunes and wetlands. Being a local there is a degradation in all wildlife, birds and frogs but we do have lots of rats and ferrets and stoats.
Omg they are destroying everything there 😔

I was wondering what the purpose of the entire venture was, and it was nicely and concisely summarised at the 30 minute mark. It all makes sense. :-(

Hmmm a Lot of Noise about Protecting the Environment and the Wildlife, But from where I'm Sitting that Property of Yours which seems to be Crumbling and rotting into the ground and has been for Years, Can't be doing the Environment any good either.
Zero transparency on NZTA and Downer's part. Shame!

So you didn’t see the helicopter taking out the tree? You didn’t see the huge tower under ongoing construction that was kept secret from the public until it couldn’t be hidden any more? You didn’t go look for the pictures taken by NZTA after they used expanding foam to give the native bats no roosting places so effectively displacing them and risking their extinction ? You didn’t see any if that stuff? Head. Sand. Ostrich
