Coming back from a break from the guitar can be tough. Stiff fingers, rusty picking.
I recently had an unplanned break (thanks flu-season!) and used this fingerpicking pattern to help me get my fingers working again. It helps to get the movements retrained plus, it helps build speed and accuracy.
In this lesson, we'll taking this pattern through an Open E Vestapol tuning and throw in some basic bottleneck slide work for some special sauce.
I think you'll have fun with this one and hopefully it helps get your fingers in top shape!
Good luck with this fingerpicking pattern and...
Play On!

Bien que je comprends pas votre langue,je suis heureux de découvrir vos démonstrations différentes de jouer la guitare ! Surtout les choses simple avec un beau son ! Merci beaucoup !
Very thoroughly explained and demonstrated. The only song that I'll retune my guitar for is She Talks to Angels - Black Crowes. It's also open E tuning; instructional videos are out there on it... Rock on!
I was playing that yesterday! Great time and open E just sounds so good for that song. Cheers!
i too concur! lol Open E rocks and she talk to angels can sound really good without a ton of work! Bob Dylans entire 'Blood on the Tracks' album was recorded in Open E as well as Rolling stones gimme shelter. Gotta be the devils tuning, done took that boy down!
Peace!
Open E vegetable? lol j/k whats the difference between Open E and vestapol?
haha. Vestapol refers to the intervals rather than the pitch/key. So open D could be vestapol if the strings are tuned to the vestapol intervals. root - 5th - root - 3rd - 5th - root
@@BluesGuitarInstitute alright im tuning my geetar atm...
thats just straight up open E to me. it doesnt look difficult just a tricky right hand articulation thing.

dig this one John!
Nice! Glad to hear that, Tom!
