When playing with friends, regardless of who is hosting, the host is seamless for everybody but the other players are lagging; things happen minutes later. Any solution?
it works with two people just fine but more than that and you get some serious input delay could you make a more in depth tutorial about how to host a dedicated server or if some could link me video on that please and thank you but other than that the coop mod is really good
Hey, where did you get the batch file to start the server? I can't find it anywhere (also if there is a batch file to join a server that would be great too). Good video!
I got it from the mod creators discord which is why I added a link to it in the description. It’s not up to date to add difficulty though as I cannot find the command line to do that.
@desko2041 not yet. I didn't invest a ton of time trying to troubleshoot. I think I might setup a server on a static IP next. Professionally I'm a cloud engineer so I setup servers for all sorts of stuff for a living. Usually I can setup dedicated game servers no problem. Might be something with my ISP or crappy provider hardware I have. I could see the server fine in the browser just not getting it to handshake with the host connecting.
Thank you for the guide! I've Already set it up but more people need to try it. Side note, is the A-life / the amount of creatures and NPCs in the world reduced with this mod? That's my one complaint so far. The world felt pretty devoid of life. (It could just be that I'm used to modded setups of CoP)
From what I saw in their discord there were commits added to their GitHub mentioning difficulty options so hopefully it’s part of that so we can increase AI as well as difficulty
I rent a virtual server from NFO servers. So I use Remote Desktop to connect to it like a normal windows PC and just install/run everything through that. Been doing it for years. This way I can install and run any server I can get the files for.
@@ItIsntJack thanks for the info man. If you could at some point record a quick tutorial on how to achieve your set up, I would be super grateful. I've been thinking of doing something like this for my friends for quite a while but I gave up because all cloud PC providers disable port forwarding and stop you from creating a dedicated server. I am surprised to hear NFO servers allows it, but their interface is a bit confusing for someone who is not all that well-versed with computers.
@limpwort I have not used it nor used VPN myself so I don't know, however I did read this which was posted in the mod's discord about setting up through radmin. Hope it helps. "the host needs to go to Direct IP type localhost as for the name of the server don't use passwords the other players will use the IPv4 from the host to be able to join the game remember that everyone needs to join before you start the game since it's not possible to join mid game"
I have been looking to see if anything was mentioned about this in the mods discord, I found things like checking anti-virus isnt blocking the game, making sure ports are open if hosting online but also seen some about making sure "public server" is ticked off.
I also received the 'invalid host'. What I found is if I hit tilde, and use the command 'connect myexternalIP:port' I am able to connect. I made sure that this is not public on server browser and no password.
This video was the most useless video what I ever seen on youtube. Making a video about how to play the mod with your friends where you do not show how to play with your friends. GG
I talk about the game and add some gameplay with a friend of mine - ruclips.net/video/NNKc7D-Uqa0/видео.html
Saving this for later fr fr ty dude
Can I join you ?

My add-ons are empty there is no stakker coop to enable
Great video, thx! I'm already forcing my friends into this, we got it working and everythings fine.
BUT!
Any chance to increase field of view?

My friends can join no problem but I crash regularly. Any advice I am the one hosting I'm just not sure what is causing it.
I forwarded the port and all that jazz. Get "Invalid Host" error connecting via IP or from the browser... 😢
same, have you found a fix?

I thought I was going crazy, I feel the same but it is entirely possible that call of Pripyat is just like this.
Which dedicated server do you rent for this? All the platforms I can find only support a predetermined list of games.
