"At the drive-in that I go to." KB, you're killing me!! I remember growing up, watching horror movies at the driv-in and I miss it. There's just something about the drive-in movies that modern theaters don't have.
Me too. My mother would take us on the weekends. There is a drive in not too far from our house. It is 1 of the kast ones left in the state. Maybe , when it warms we will go
Thanks so much for the list and all your efforts! I'm relatively new to the channel, but as devourer of all things horror, your videos have become a staple of what to watch. I'm glad you touched on Thanksgiving because I saw that one and passed it over as another cheesy done bad movie. As a child of the 80s, I am no stranger to cheesy and campy movies, but some of the more recent ones meant to be an homage to these films just didn't cut it. Looking forward to watching this one now!
been waiting for you to tell me watch lol. Gonna check out Coming home in the dark, Don't worry darling and the Seventh Day and Gerald's Game. thanks yo
Hey man! Thank you for the time, effort, n sincerity you put into watching, evaluating, breaking down, filming, editing, and posting these honest reviews. Yeah, I know you make money off it as a job but your enthusiasm, emotion, talent and spark are bright spots regardless of movie subjectmatter.
I can tell you what happened with “Don’t worry darling”, it’s feminist garbage. And Olivia Wild cheating on her husband while he came to the set weekly with the kids is disgusting. Plus I heard the movie itself was really bad. It’s definitely not worth the time.
been a new sub for a few months. tx bro for turning me onto some fanstastic films. being a paramedic i just like to come home and tune out to some great films. tx for doing what you do, man.
Bruh, I think Leave the World Behind is part of the Mr. Robot world. There is a small Easter Egg in the scrambled picture on the TV. Hint, it’s a QR code that you have to hella zoom in on. You’re welcome.
I was sleeping on Thanksgiving… so much fun!!!! Thanks man. Now Eli is directing the Borderlands movie. Hell yeah! Keep doing what you do amigo. You are appreciated 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Lol I live in Plymouth and let me tell you I wish Thanksgiving here was that exciting. There's pretty much nothing to do here and it's overflowing with annoying tourists during the summer
A list I would love to see: Favorite foreign film horror movies or Horror Recommendations from each continent. Africa has some great films, especially Nigeria.
PLEASE PLEASE do a video on Silent Night 2021. I just watched this movie and was so engrossed. Despite knowing what was going to happen, I still watched it and now I am even more left wondering. It is funny and sad, thrilling and a horror of the kind and heart. I was on a roller coaster of omg.
Amen to Mike Flanagan movies. One of my favorite horror movies of all time is Oculus, and I was surprised to learn that an underappreciated/unknown movie, Absentia, was also directed by him.
I'm going to watch, Leave The World Behind tonight! I love Ethan Hawke and have been a fan since Reality Bites. 😊 Also, if you like Guy Pearce, there was a great show with him called, Mare Of Easttown. It's got a phenomenal cast, with Kate Winslet and Evan Peters too. Its not horror, but a great show, none the less. Thanks for the list KB, much appreciated fam. Take care 🙏♥️
@@dionnasoares8332 Hello Dionna! Yeah I hope you like it! Appreciate your comment my GP fam and I hope you have a great rest of your week. Take care! All my best 🙏♥️
I can't even remember how Gerald's Game ends because everything she goes through is just so intense and well acted and being in that bed in a tiny slip that I remember almost all of that and the scenes, but not the end. So I guess I will re-watch G's Game, but first I might check out The Cave. I am in the mood for a no brainer, nicely put together with great monsters, handsome men getting slaughtered, in a highly claustrophobic scenario. Many others on this list that I will check out this week Thanks KB, you so rock. And my notifications have stayed notifying past the previous glitch times. Wahoooo.
I'm having the same problem with Spider head I know I watched it and liked it but Dame I don't remember much about it I guess it's time for a rewatch 🤔😏
I remember this past thanksgiving asking you where I could watch thanksgiving and it spawned a convo between other people lol but in the end I remember you and a few others saying that they weren’t sure when it would come to streaming/VOD - so when I saw it (totally forgot where I watched it 😅) about 3 weeks ago I immediately bought it and wow 😮 this is a serious case of a trailer turning me OFF of a movie
Just got home from work. First video I watched. Agree with Thanksgiving and Gerald's Game. Both excellent. I have some catching up to do. Dark films first. Thanks dude 🤘🏻
Awesome! Good to know there are some great Horror movies available on Netflix! I'll be watching Thanksgiving, Spiderhead, The Cave & Don't Worry Darling for sure!
Was slightly disappointed in the list....... ONLY BECAUSE ive already seen every movie on the list. However id like to throw out Cole Hausers best movie in my opinion Paparazzi. You seen it Kainan? Not a horror flick but super entertaining
Thanksgiving was awesome, I went in not knowing what to expect and it was far better than I anticipated. It was a throwback to the 80's, the k*lls were inventive and fun, it was also very cool to see Patrick mixing things up a bit in taking this role, he was great, cheers.
Please DO NOT WATCH THE SEVENTH DAY it’s horrible. I got maybe 15 minutes in. Disgraceful. I then went to Tubi and watched YHE BLACK STRING. slow burn w Frankie Muniz believe it or not. I loved it. Give it a try.
Yea you need to learn the DEFINITION of horror…..I’m gonna assume you’re the usual ignorant uneducated person who claims “but but wah wah boohoo this isn’t horror!” 🙄😂🤡 Yes horror is a lot melee than slasher films 😂 that’s what you people tend to always say.

So many people hyped this up to me and I finally watched. 🤣🤣. I would have been pissed if I paid movie ticket money to see this.
Okay, seen all of these now. Here's my thoughts on them. Leave the World Behind: An interesting contained apocalyptic drama. Terrific cast giving great performances. It doesn't fully explain itself, and that may frustrate some folks. The ending was cute, but it left me wanting more. I'd be up for a sequel. Spiderhead: A very unique feeling film. Eli Roth knows how to deliver the gore. So glad we're getting a sequel, and Eli is going tp helm it. Coming Home in the Dark. Not that gory, but quite brutal. Didn't like the ending because it depended on the reaction of a character who was woefully under-developed... more of a prop than a character. My least favorite of the bunch. The Cave: My kind of creature feature. Very atmospheric setting and creature design. For fans of The Descent. Don't Worry Darling: Saw this in the theater. It's an interesting concept imperfectly rendered. It's got Stepford Wives vibes. Calibre: This is a wonderful little film. So realistic, well acted and filmed. The surprise of the list. The Seventh Day: An above average possession film. All possession films are variations of The Exorcist, and none of them have come close to topping it in fifty years. But this one is just different enough that even when it traffics in the usual tropes it remains entertaining. Guy Pearce, as always, gives a commendable performance. Gerald's Game: One of the good Stephen King adaptations. Mike Flannigan does a great job keeping a movie largely confined to a single room interesting. Disco Gerald! Get down! The Rental: This is a slower burn then some, but stick with it because it absolutely delivers a payoff and goes in a direction you won't expect. A fine directorial debut for Dave Franco. Thanks again for another fine list. You're helping me discover some high-quality movies I might otherwise have missed.
Maybe I'm wrong but Eli Roth's Thanksgiving is a tongue-in-cheek flick. In the 80's it started to become a running joke of what horror movie will come out next based on a holiday/ significant date. Hey Kainan. To your point on “Leave the World Behind”…I think that, unfortunately, the “theater culture” is dying. Without throwing a personal opinion on it, I think that without the same historical demand as a result of changes in technology, generational interests, (…and let’s not forget the big VID of 2020.) etc., theaters are simply not as appealing as they were prior. As a result, all the talent is no longer focused on theater releases, and have probably turned their marketing attention to more financially viable options.

Excellent list as always. I’ve seen a few of them. Loved Gerald’s Game and Spiderhead. Long walk home was dark…but very very good. When you have time, I highly recommend The Conference’. It’s foreign language but the content is SO worth it. I don’t ❤ Netflix originals. They usually lack imagination (in my humble opinion). But Netflix really has been putting some better writers on their foreign language projects because I really enjoy their foreign content. I just finish To The Lake…and Forst. Both very well done. Barely noticed the subtitles. Kainsn the awesome…I challenge you to make a horror list comprised of all female lead characters. lol You always say you don’t think the female leaders get enough recognition…right? Thanksgiving was brilliant. I agree with you, slashers are made so that you root for the killer, I think that's why they purposely make so many characters dislikable. If you were attached to the so-called "good guys" then it would take away from the campy kills where the audience is supposed to clap and cheer. That's just the genre. But lots of them do have a final girl for the sequel so it's not all bad. I also loved the cave. At the time people were comparing this to The Descent which I thought was unfair. I loved both for different reasons..
I really want to check out Thanksgiving but I really have a thing against watching off season movies 😂! I won’t watch Christmas horror after new years and I wouldn’t watch The Thing in July! It’s just me. The Seventh Day has been sitting in my queue for a few years so I might watch that instead. Calibre is an excellent thriller, sort of like Deliverence in the backwoods of Scotland.
"Leave The World Behind" the movie already looks to have little in common with the creepily understated novel, which can probably not be made into a movie as is unless a quiet low budget approach is taken.

I am so excited that Thanksgiving is now streaming on Netflix. My husband and I go to the Plymouth Thanksgiving parade that they have every year. I don't understand how Guy Pearce had fallen off everyone's radar.
I watched Thanksgiving the other night , and although there were some plot holes it was a hoot! They did a good job with the parade and wherever they used to stand in for Plymouth.
I’m an avid Stephen King reader and I’ve loved the Gerald’s Game novel since it was released in the 90’s. The film is definitely a good adaptation, faithful and well made, especially for a book that some thought was ‘unfilmable’. I’m gutted that Coming Home in the Dark isn’t on UK Netflix as it sounds like my thing, I’m into the really disturbing stuff! I think it’s cathartic. Hopefully it comes around here soon.
We used to go to the drive in for two dollars a car plus you got tickets for free drinks and popcorn. That is where in my life I watched most of my horror double features. I really miss that.

Great recommendations as usual ,I need to finish Geralds Game at some point. I haven't seen "A tale of two sisters" cross your Shudder lists, it's a Korean horror give it a try it's very good and "Beast" is very good also
Had no idea Thanksgiving is now on Netflix. Been waiting for this. Thank you my friend, as always an outstanding video with films to add to my list. If it wasn't so late I'd start watching now, but i know what's next on my list pilgrim😊

Chris Hemsworth and Miles Teller are at the top of their game. Can't say I've seen anything quite like it, and that's a good thing
Thanksgiving: What a fun love letter to slashers!

Another Psychological Drama list.
Maybe 2 horror movies?
Maybe I'm wrong but Eli Roth's Thanksgiving is a tongue-in-cheek flick. In the 80's it started to become a running joke of what horror movie will come out next based on a holiday/ significant date. When making the fake trailer for Grindhouse, everyone that I've come across got the joke. So in the movie when there's grisly deaths resulting from a rabid Black Friday crowd, that set the tone for an overall inside joke. And wearing a John Carver mask....😂 I think he had a lot of fun with it and wanted that for us too.
Yeah exactly but for some reason a lot of people seem to miss that
Hey Kainan. To your point on “Leave the World Behind”…I think that, unfortunately, the “theater culture” is dying. You lost me at “campy humor”… that genre sucks.
Great list. Just do steel yourself if you want to watch Coming Home in the Dark. It's dark.
Coming home in the dark was one ofnthe best films Ive seen but like Hunter Hunter it was a one time view.
Love love love Don’t worry darling !!! It was sooo good it stuck with me for a while after !!!!
Great recommendations as usual ,I need to finish Geralds Game at some point.
I haven't seen "A tale of two sisters" cross your Shudder lists, it's a Korean horror give it a try it's very good and "Beast" is very good also
When The Ghost Pirate makes recommendations start adding to the queue
Calibre is one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. Soo effective and stressful
Gerald’s Game was a great book and a great movie.
Had no idea Thanksgiving is now on Netflix. Been waiting for this. Thank you my friend, as always an outstanding video with films to add to my list. If it wasn't so late I'd start watching now, but i know what's next on my list pilgrim😊
Hi Ghost Pirate,
Thanks for another great list. Just when I thought I've seen or heard of most horror films you bless us with some we haven't. This is why I watch. So glad you included 'The Rental' and 'Leave The World Behind.' What an impressive directorial debut from Dave Franco. I hope he takes another stab at the horror genre.
Thanks
